Most of the time: Watching the games at home, in suburban Melbourne, in front of our big-screen TV, with my laptop all wired up from down the hallway. To post on BigSoccer during the games, of course. However, as I work in the bar and hospitality industry, if I am offered work for any of the matches, I'll work the parties. With the exception of the USA matches -- not only on account of my moderating duties here, but I'll be too emotionally involved to concentrate on pulling beers. I'll be riding on every touch. And ask my wife -- if and when the USA win and do well, I'll have the water works on, crying tears of joy...
I'll be sitting in a beer garden watching the games. got a 50€ bet going that us we'll advance out of the group
Who signs up to post on Big Soccer and votes they don't care about the world cup. That's like saying your Christian but you don't belive in Jesus!
Yeah, I thought about quitting my job then attempting to find another job after the world cup, but in these uncertain times I thougt I better just use the old vcr. I will be taking some day's off for the more important games.
At home watching. Would love to be in Germany with tickets, but I have neither the vacation time nor the $$$ to do it. Although if I could swing the vacation time, Mr. Visa Card would take care of the rest somehow.
With luck it happens. I made that plan a year ago and I quit my job in time to go to Germany for the first round matches. Then I don't start my new one until July 10th, the day after the final. The soccer Gods are smiling down on me. Hopefully they are shining down on the US.
For the first match, I'll catch it at a pub/bar before going into work. Maybe same for the third match.
we've got friends coming around for the first round games - Eng USA. Then if we get through I've got conditional tix for next game and quarters. !!!!Com'n USA!!!!!
Germany with the family (wife and 3 boys, all raving Fulham and USA supporters). Gelsenkirchen for the Czechs then Nurnberg for Ghana if it matters. If last night's performance anything to go by, it won't.
At home for the first round, England for the later rounds, home for the Final. Can't wait. It's worse than cowbell fever!
At home for the Korea games but I might try out the local Irish pubs in Woodside for the other games.
