It would also make for some crappy stream watching in order to follow the games. At least if Lille played Barca or Liverpool or the like you would get an actual TV channel carrying the game.
LOSC coach Christophe Galtier on the UEFA Champions League draw: "I think we will be together with the players to watch the draw. The opponent I dream to meet? There are some monstrous teams, so I do not know if it's a dream but...come on, I'd like a double confrontation against Real Madrid because it's a prestigious club, because it's Zinedine Zidane.” https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2020/draws/round=2001140/
Weah has a "very bad hamstring tear" according to Berhalter. ”We would’ve given him a look in this camp,” Berhalter said of Weah.“He’s playing for Lille, doing a good job,” This makes me very sad. https://sports.yahoo.com/usmnt-coac...-has-a-very-bad-hamstring-tear-023208834.html Yedlin, Adams and Miazga all would have gotten call-ups if healthy.
for real- this sounded like a conveniently international break-length knock when first reported. curious to find out what the actual timeline is gonna be...
Muscle strains don't get progressively worse. Berhalter's comments are concerning. Most likely the previous article understated the severity.
Good article about the "titis" (youngsters) moving from PSG to improve other teams. http://www.leparisien.fr/sports/foo...rapportent-gros-au-psg-03-09-2019-8144925.php "The club has sold over €60m of youngsters from its academy. Mentioning only the ones already playing at the pro level, Paris has transferred Christopher Nkunku, Moussa Diaby, Timothy Weah et Stanley Nsoki. [...] "«They wanted to move on to other things, and let the '99s and '00s go to reinforce the club identity and morale,» explains Badou Sambagué, lawyer for Timothy Weah, gone to Lille, and for Djeidi Gassama, 16, who signed for the PSG academy this summer."
FWiw, reporting no Weah. Tim Weah not in Lille's squad against Ajax, still out due to injury. https://t.co/3baSAbsXCu— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) September 16, 2019
Is there any injury update? I’ve never had this much trouble finding any news on an injury before. This can’t be good.
All I've got is (using Google translate) Touches ischios, Timothy Weah is still absent from the group of Lille for the trip to Nice, this Saturday (20 hours), while Thiago Maia is always aside. Otherwise, Christophe Galtier is spoiled for choice to compose his eleven.
Well, depending how you interpret what Gregg said, it could be an extremely long and serious injury. Check out posts 3605 and 3612 in this thread.
Found this quote from last week...looks like he was close to coming back but started to feel some pain again "We have no injuries, the only one missing is Timothy, his return was to be close, but it got more complicated this week, he felt a pain and we thought we would have him available for the upcoming series of matches. It is no longer certain that this will be the case, " said the Lille technician in front of the media. - Source: Topmercato.com - Article: http://www.topmercato.com/207744,1/lille---weah-manquera-aussi-strasbourg.html
Good find hype25. It is disappointing that yet another USMNT candidate is out w/ injury... but the fact that he was even close after it being reported as a serious hamstring tear is good news. Although, if I have learned anything from the Tyler Adams situation it is that you take what you read w/ respect to injuries in soccer with a legit measure of uncertainty.
Eh beh, pas bon. The sharp edge of the return to action razor is difficult to pass over, thus the Wise say the path to complete rehabilitation is hard.
