I'm still asking whether his Celtic loan was a success or if it was simply "meh, but he got a league trophy"?
That is quite a vote of confidence in him by Lille, so they certainly think he's a real talent. Great place for him to develop.
If he's transferring to Lille for 10 million and has a real chance to play... Well, that's your answer. Is that "meh" or a "success?"
"Licensed to Lille: Weah at Lille" Loving this move and hope that he gets a hell of a run out next season
Nope. @Sylvius has the thread title wrapped up. Just waiting to make it official. Say hello to my Lille friend: Weah at Le LOSC
Ladies and Gentlemen, This is Weah Number Nine A Lille bit of Celtic in my life A Lille bit of PSG by my side
Medical tomorrow. If all systems are ok, he'd be signed for five years(!). https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Act...-sa-visite-medicale-a-lille-ce-samedi/1034778 L'Équipe is a high-trust source. Where there's a Lille, there's a Weah!
And PSG hung on for a 50% sell-on until Lille coughed up more up-front. Both clubs believe in him, but he was surplus to the requirements of one of them, which happens in football. France is a great place to learn the trade; Lille are a well-backed club that's on-the-up; the coach is highly regarded; they're in the CL group stages next season, etc. I'm exceptionally optimistic on this one. He could (and I really hope I'm not jinxing him) be what Julian Green was supposed to be all those years back

I went back through the thread. @TimB4Last’s idea had more reps than @Sylvius’s. Sorry, man. You both had great ideas!
