I'm still at home but in one week the wife and leave for a 16 day trip to central Europe(Prague, Vienna, Budapest). Convinced the wife to go to a game while we are in Prague and just picked up 2 tickets to see Bohemians 1905 for $20 with a service charge of 43 cents.
Please explore the whole city, not just the area around Karlův most (Charles Bridge). Get on the tram and explore. Vinohrady is great. Take the funicular on Petřín Hill. It is an amazing view. It is magical (or was the last time I was there). You will have a great time, it is hard not to in Prague.
I'm tempted to go bury this Here And then have a scavenger hunt where I slowly release clues to where it's at. Or you know just smoke it
Currently, I am up in nice, but snowy Wausau, Wi. No snow today, but quite a bit over the weekend I am told. Another interview for a full time professorship. Maybe my fortunes will change with this one. Not sure, I would want to live up here (it is far, but a super easy drive), but I will form an opinion after seeing more of the area. Nice little city, right on the Wisconsin River, in a ski area.
By the way, my beers mentioned in the drinking thread were $3.79 (pint of 'merica) and $5.21 (snifter of campfire social, imperial oatmeal stout). Maybe I DO want to live up here.
Wisconsin? I feel like it would be nice. Cheese Unlimited moon Man and cheese. What more can a man ask for? Bratwurst?
Frankly, the local beer I have been enjoying is better than Moon Man. Cheese is everywhere. The gas station in the middle of nowhere had a cheese (and sausage) stand.
