I am happily at LaGuardia Airport waiting for my lost suitcase. [emoji20][emoji107]

I have a very important intervew tomorrow and I could, well, use my clothes.

And, there are f'n chairs to sit down. People are sitting on the conveyor belts...probably not the best idea.

Always wondered what kind of language Maltese is. What’s it related to? And what does it sound like?

It's a Semitic language. The only one within the EU.

It sounds like it’s derived from Arabic, whoch is now confirmed by @skinut.

Malta was one of the first territories to convert to Christianity after the apostle Paul's ship wrecked there on his way to Rome for his trial and eventual martyrdom. Happened in the mid- 0's AD if memory serves.

That's all fake news. It was because of aliens.

Aliens shipwrecked Paul? Converted the Maltese (chocolate malts)? Martyred Paul? All of the above?

My 8 hour interview today in New York went great.

No idea if the college people were as impressed with me as I was impressed with them, but I was very happy with my time in New York.

O'Hare... the only times I ever use this place I'm either going on a big international trip or taking a 40 minute flight to central Missouri.

    ... it's the latter today.

At first, I thought you went to a Popeye's in a village.
I was going to say that @sportscrazed2 would be sooooo jealous, but he is more of a Harold's Chicken fan.

Glad you are having a great trip.

    Of course you do.
[Actually, I am pretty partial to Popeye's every 4 months or so]

Hello from Madeira, the land of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Amazingly, watching soccer in Portugal is even more difficult here than it is in the states due to the TV rights situation. Luckily my Hulu TV app can't figure out I'm overseas if I stream from a cellular connection instead of WiFi so I at least got to catch the last 10 minutes of the Liverpool Barca game when I noticed the score.

I managed to find a Maritimo jersey in my size at the stadium store that also doubles as a Christmas outfit too...

Also, driving here ranks somewhere between "YOLO" and "Leeeeeroy Jenkins!!!"

I really want to travel more. I'm thinking get high at Loch Ness or get high at Yellowstone looking for big foot. Or get high and go hiking in new Zealand

Alas, I'm sitting in Boston Logan airport at the end of an Azores -> Madeira -> Azores trip. Sagres and Super Bock are hardly what I'd call good beers, but they were never more than 1.5 Euro anywhere I went in Portugal. I got serious sticker shock when the draft of whatever I got at the airport Wahlburgers was $9.50 20190512_102737.jpg
