Yeah I know but it just seems like some people get so much for scoring 18 goals while others get so little for scoring 76 sgoals...
Touché! And in Cuba, doctors make $50/month while people in the tourist industry make $200-300, or something in that ratio...

I dunno but I thought that article wasn’t that great for Quincy - makes him sound, as Arriola says, like a fool. Plus QA makes the league minimum $70k in DC? That’s poverty wages...
Apparently Junior Agogo's funeral was today in London. A nice retrospective of his club career, including a shot from his Rapids days and a shot of the SJ Earthquakes championship ring he earned. https://www.graphic.com.gh/sports/sports-news/manuel-junior-agogo-a-club-career-in-pictures.html

Very nice story, nice to see Balouchy and Lenny trying to bring some joy and decency into their lives.
As soon as they leave the Quakes, they find success. Sometimes twice! Ike Opara named MLS Defender of the Year for 2019 - ...
I was always a huge Ike fan, talked to him a few times, impressive guy, Quakes treated him badly. I was appalled, and not surprised he's a star now.
On the Benny and Sal Podcast, Ike mentioned that when he was hurt, he ate Subway twice a day, the same thing each time, because it was right across the street from his apartment and he couldn’t walk any further than that. No wonder he didn’t recuperate very well until he went home. Unbelievable that the Quakes left a young injured player alone like that.
My longest conversation with him was at a local soccer store during the time he was recuperating at home. Management seemed to have no interest in him other than to fly him back for the day to attend meets&greets where they needed to send a player. He did not complain or act distressed about any of it, but we were pretty shocked at how callously he was being treated.
The Earthquakes have not been a class organization - at least since Johnny Moore left. Sad to say, but true.
Not commenting on his treatment by the Quakes, however, many here viewed Ike as too injury prone, he did break his foot (twice?) just running, with no contact, and thought he was just an injury waiting to happen, regardless of his potential as a player. Though it did not work well for him here, I am glad to see his career did take off and flourish.
