How ironic that we let Beitashour go because we appeared to be skimping on the cheapest position on the field.
I've refereed West Coast SC teams (at the Sporting tournaments), and the coaches and parents are indeed well-behaved.
My relatives live out in Livermore and they told me Dayak ruined the Bailistics youth team I think it was.
Ballistic United is Pleasanton. I believe Dayak been involved in Tracy and Livermore leagues however.
Pleasanton is like only 5 miles away from Livermore. It was one of those youth teams that he screwed up and because of his involvement, they are still suffering from it. Not sure what happened but that is what they said.
Yes, but his names were numbered when he got upset about being pulled out of a home game (I forget the opponent) that he didn't start.
By the way, Barrett was right to be upset. And if Kinnear is too prickly to handle the egos of professional athletes, he should no longer be coaching, for that reason alone.
Good shout. Former San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Rafael Baca started for Cruz Azul in tonight's 1-0 loss to Club Tijuana. https://t.co/0RY3v8FBtJ— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) January 28, 2017 Horray, Baca started for Cruz Azul and they shockingly lost 1-0! Who would have thunk it? But hey, I bet he had a great completed back pass percentage!
He's started many games for them, including many wins. He plays a #6 role for them so not directly responsible for scoring.
I know the story, JazzyJ. The question is does he make them a better team? My stance is that no, just like for the Quakes, he doesn't.
Well the coach apparently thinks so, otherwise he wouldn't be a starter in Liga MX. See it's not just the craziness of one coach that values him enough to start him. We now have 2 coaches, in different leagues who have come to the same conclusion.
His wiki page lists him as a "free agent". I'm guessing he's back in Gambia? Guy's only 27 - you'd think he could get a gig somewhere.
Our former players always fall off the face of the earth... And if they do eventually reappear it's in the fourth division of Japan (Lenhart), or third division in France (Pierazzi). 60' BUUUUUUUUUTTTT !!!! Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi est à l'affût suite à un poteau et égalise pour le Paris FC ! 1-1 #PFCCSSA pic.twitter.com/ylR0yGu5eV— Paris FC (@ParisFC) January 20, 2017 Nyassi will probably show up on some amateur team in Gambia a year from now.
Troy Dayak leads thriving West Coast SC after 16 years of pro ball Special Memory In October of 1990, at age 19, I played for the USA in Zagreb against Croatia, which wanted to play against the USA in its first game after declaring independence. I scored (in the 2-1 loss). The next day, our team interpreter told me to come down to the lobby. I thought I was in trouble because after the game I played poker on the roof with the older players. He introduced me to a tiny old lady, who asked me if I knew Betty Dayak. I said, “Yes, that’s my grandma.” It was her sister. They lost contact with each other after the war when my grandma fled to the United States. She had seen my name in the paper because I scored. My grandmother and her sister got back together through soccer.
"Former Timbers forward Ryan Johnson will also likely be training with the team in Portland, but Porter made it clear that Johnson is not on trial and the club is not evaluating him as a potential signee. " Mentioned in this article. http://www.oregonlive.com/timbers/index.ssf/2017/02/freddy_adu_no_longer_on_trial.html
At least he can take his $500k Quakes salary and put it in French banks. With that and the money and in entices players get playing under the table , he may be living quite well playing in a third tier league....
