We need a new thread for this. It has gone on for awhile but it'll go on for much longer. According to this article shareholders are pissed at Watzke and he might have to step down. http://m.manager-magazin.de/finanze...m-bvb-musste-der-falsche-gehen-a-1150301.html While the stock price didn't take much of a hit despite TT getting fired (likely because it wasn't a surprise and Aki played the cards shrewdly by opening up in that interview), it has grown rather significantly under TTs reign at BVB....as in unprecedented growth!! So the way it was handled along with internal quarrels don't sit well with the shareholders and Aki may just have to go. I'll keep my fingers crossed. There are lots of areas in which we can improve on without Aki. Even during the JK sure we could see his deficiencies as a manager.
I don't think any shareholders anywhere are organized enough to do anything. Unless BVB's shares are held by a few people, I would have to think the share price movement is random and somebody wrote an article about it. Entire cable channels (e.g. CNBC) are devoted to assigning motives to essentially random movements. TT's contract was up next year anyway; he is a good coach but he was leaving anyway.. He won't go directly to Bayern now at least. BVB should have had a replacement locked up though. Anyone see TT moving to PSG with Auba? Auba seemed to be the one player TT got along with (maybe Dembele too). PSG cannot be happy with their season or coach.
Any chance I could change the thread title to something a bit more neutral? Not everyone feels as strongly as you do that Watzke needs to be fired.
I just hope we get Nagelsman, but it is looking unlikely as of now. This whole situation is a clusterf**k caused by Watzke and his awkward decisions. The man should have gone probably 2-3 years ago.
http://www.fussballtransfers.com/bundesliga/tuchel-seite-wehrt-sich-gegen-watzkes-vorwurfe_78125 TTs agent is defending him. The article does ask why TT was the one who was attacked when other players including Sokratis and Nuri spoke out against having to play the next day.
Bosz to be announced tomorrow. He's likely bringing his assistant coach with him. Meanwhile TTs agent confirms that he will take a 6 month hiatus. Seems odd that he's no longer our coach. At least with JK he announced his departure and finished off the rest of the season.
an ajax fan tells the circumstance on why Bosz decide to leave ajax despite only have 1 season to manage them. and dutch news provider,de telegraaf, even tell the same story 871963906423607296 is not a valid tweet id 871964261265944576 is not a valid tweet id 871965241344700416 is not a valid tweet id 871967268615467008 is not a valid tweet id 871969397941915649 is not a valid tweet id a clash between him and ajax's management board. sounds VERY FAMILIAR,isn't it?
Peter Bosz is the new BVB Head Coach. Contract will last until 2019. Further info in a press conference this afternoon. #welkomhier #bvb pic.twitter.com/us7FngPgXy— Borussia Dortmund (@BVB) June 6, 2017
I'm a bit more comfortable with this now than I was a few days ago- and it seems bosz is a better move than Favre would've been. I really like our signings, Philip reminds me a lot of reus when he was younger, zagadou could be a gem.
Except that TT was completely hung out to dry. And while I can't speak for the mgmt. at Ajax, our CEO is douchebag.
Despite this TT won us a trophy and qualified directly in the CL. 🇬🇧 English Version: Average number of days a #Bundesliga player missed due to injuries in 2016-17. #dataviz #FCB #BVB #SGE #HSV pic.twitter.com/D6WSlMYfkY— Fußballverletzungen (@fbverletzungen) June 5, 2017
