I don't care so much about the change but what I was expecting was a civilised explanation. Not to be told "tough luck".
The original title was perfectly fine so there was no need to change it ... also the current one implies the players that are no longer on Liverpool's roster where not good enough...not the case for every player
It is tongue in cheek. We all know where the small, select group of players are who were to good for us are. The many, many others who left for other reasons are more of a mystery. Happy to see Nemeth (Torres jnr) doing well in America Still only 26. A season or two of consistent scoring with no injuries and he may return to one of the top leagues in europe.

I get delay's annoyance -- and responding with "don't be precious" smacks of a put down, plain and simple. especially when it would have been quicker and easier just to change the damn title back. the implication in changing a thread title is the mod is correcting the poster's error or feels that he "knows better" than the poster. there's no error here to correct. those who want to say "storm in a teacup" go ahead but you have to admit it's disrespectful. and for the record: there are a lot of players who have left us on good standing I'd like to hear about - ones who are still playing AND ones who are not (eg Sami, Macca, etc.).
Sorry man - I suppose we have been around here way to long to let it bother us. We've all had titles edited - whether to make titles more appropriate, or to fix game thread titles, and on the rarest of occasions had posts edited usually to remove references to the "source that cannot be cited". And there will be times that posts are removed when they are juvenile or just inflammatory between posters that are starting flame wars. You'll find the mods here the most lenient of any of the main liverpool boards (RAWK, TIA) and I can promise that no one is doing anything with malicious intent.
I get that terp - I don't think anyone's seeing any malice here at all. mods "cleaning up" titles/posts makes sense, that's their function, no argument there. but this case just seems unnecessary and, frankly, a little petty. BTW I tried TIA once and know what you mean about their mods. I think I lasted about two weeks.
