I hope he does good enough with the Rapids that he gets a move to Europe. Quickly. Before he comes back to haunt FCD.
The first thing that came to my mind was Graziani at San Jose but that wasn't anything "serious." Just was weird to see him score against us and we got Colman-like numbers out of Cerritos. Anyways, that was another life. Cooper scored a goal or two against us for Toronto, IIRC. Again, nothing serious.
The difference is age. Most of our ex- star players were on the downside of their careers. Acosta is still rising. We want him to be rising because then he will be to good for MLS, move to Europe where he can't haunt us and FCD makes some tidy change on a sale. I wonder If Colorado will fight a move.
I don't know if he signed a contract through T&T connections, but Dante Sealy might be the next former FCD Academy player abroad. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/dante-sealy-at-villarreal.2086001/

Last Sunday, Alex Zendejas subbed into the Super Classico against Club America in the 54th minute. The game was played at Banc of California stadium and ended 1-1. The Chivas faithful have not warmed up to him yet: Zendejas que ha hecho para jugar ahí? (Pregunta seria)— JoAn Paint (@JohnyPaint) September 10, 2018 "Zendejas, what have you done to play there? (Serious question)"
Former HG Coy Craft scored his first goal for Nyköpings BIS in the Swedish Division 1 Norra (3rd division). Either that or he won an Oscar for his magical diving. 0-1 @coycraft magiskt framspelad av Oscar. ’86— Magnus Andersson (@SonnyMagnus) September 15, 2018
Jason Krieis rumored for Olympic U-23 job. https://sbisoccer.com/2019/03/report-jason-kreis-in-talks-to-coach-u-s-u-23-olympic-team
Jason Kreis is officially the new US U-23 coach and his team traveled to Spain for a friendly vs Egypt ( a loss) and one vs the Netherlands (0-0 tie).
Former Dallas Burn player Eric Quill is the Head Coach of FC Dallas' new USL-1 team the NTSC (North Texas Soccer Club), and former FC Dallas player Michel is the Assistant coach. Their first official game is at 6:00 this Saturday March 30 at FC Dallas (Toyota Stadium) vs the USL-1 team from Chattanooga, TN. FCD has signed homegrowns you may see playing for FCD and/or NTSC Included among the many talented players is the son of former FC Dallas Player Scott Sealy, his son Dante Sealy, who was the 25th homegrown player to sign from the FCD Dev Academy (he is 15). The other homegrown player whose father played for FC Dallas is Jesus Ferreira, his father was MLS MVP of 2010 David Ferreira.
Zach Loyd is now the Head Coach of UPSL's Lone Star Republic. See article here and the team website here
From World Soccer: Colombian coach Leonel Alvarez was sacked by Libertad despite guiding the Paraguayan side into the Libertadores Cup group stage. Alvarez denied reports that his departure was connected to allegations of an affair with the wife of star midfielder Edgar Benitez.
Good for Zach. I also must admit that’s its great to see FCDs best fan return to her place on the board!
Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but I noticed Michel has signed with Dallas Elite (you have to scroll down a bit for the announcement on the home page) https://dallaselitefc.com/ Of course he's also coaching with NTSC.
Michel was a player coach for Dallas Elite, but the team ceased playing in January. I think he's fully devoted to being an assistant coach at NTSC now.
You may remember when Eric Alexander played for FCD (2010+) - well he has spent time with a few other MLS teams and was signed off of waivers last week to once again play for FCD. He is expected to provide depth in defensive areas for the team. Welcome back Eric!
Former FCD development player Emerson Hyndman has been signed to Atlanta United as a discovery player. FCD owned the discovery rights and Atlanta agreed to compensate FCD for the discovery rights. In order to acquire Hyndman's Discovery Rights, Atlanta sent FC Dallas $200,000 in General Allocation Money as well as an international roster spot for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
https://gculopes.com/news/2021/1/18/mens-soccer-hyndman-to-retire-after-legendary-career.aspx Grand Canyon men's soccer head coach Schellas Hyndman announced he will retire at the conclusion of this spring's season. A 2020 United Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame inductee, Hyndman ranks second in wins among active Division I coaches. A six-year stint in Major League Soccer leading FC Dallas produced a 62-59-58 mark, a 2010 MLS Coach of the Year distinction and a trip to MLS Cup.
Also the longest-serving but second-worst (IMHO) coach in the history of FC Dallas, though that last bit probably won't ever make it into his official bio.
