Scientists factor in the news that the Quakes are standing pat on last year's roster. Doom, they say! Doomsday Clock nears apocalypse over climate and nuclear fears https://t.co/dKXmTkWpZH— BBC News (World) (@BBCWorld) January 23, 2020
I watched them together in the early 90's, then with Lehrer for the next 15 years after MacNeil left. For the past 10 years, since Jim Lehrer left, the NewsHour has remained a reliable news source, what I consider straightforward journalism with minimal bias baked in, they don't get the high level interviews they used to get, not nearly as often anyway, but I still rarely miss their Shields & Brooks segment on Fridays. I watch a fair bit of partisan pundit news too (admittedly) but don't see it as particularly helpful for us to have parallel alternative universes.
The @Saints argue in court papers that emails between team executives and the area’s Roman Catholic archdiocese about its clergy-abuse crisis should be kept secret and not be “fodder for the public.” (3/4)— The Associated Press (@AP) January 24, 2020
10-37. The Golden State Warriors lost against the visiting Indiana Pacers. Next up: a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers on NBC Sports Bay Area HD on Tuesday. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
The Seattle NFL expansion effort started as the Sea Lions, but, then they rebranded it as the Seattle Kings. My dad's business was located one block from the Kingdome, and I remember seeing the big Kings sign on a building adjacent to the Kingdome.
I’m trying to figure out which cartoon character Nadler looks like but I can’t pinpoint it.... Maybe Mr. Peabody & Sherman?
And the only reason for which I'm glad that the selected 49ers players won't be playing in today's NFL Pro Bowl Game. As for James Garoppolo: he's only the fourth starting quarterback in 49ers Super Bowl history, which is especially poignant considering how other really good quarterbacks in team history such as John Brodie and Jeff Garcia never made it to the big game. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
If this is true, it’s very sad! Kobe Bryant killed in a helicopter accident! https://amp.tmz.com/2020/01/26/kobe-bryant-killed-dead-helicopter-crash-in-calabasas/
Was watching glimpses of the pro bowl and it never fails but it’s always a boring game. I remember the commissioner was ready to pull the game a few years back then the players said they would try harder. It’s not looking that way from what I saw. Not sure if it’s because they don’t know how to play with one another , if it’s the heat or they just don’t care.
Are the players there perhaps depressed that they didn't make it to the Super Bowl? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Why does nobody care about the other 7 people on board? https://sports.yahoo.com/longtime-c...icopter-crash-with-kobe-bryant-015949861.html Just a few of the other people.
I thought they said that there was 9 total on board. The manager of Orange County community college baseball team, his wife and daughter are confirmed to have been on board as well.[emoji22]
