You're conveniently ignoring ice-core data that goes back hundreds of thousands of years, but sure, whatever!
climate change deniers are modern day flat earthers, tragically for future generations they won’t accept the science on this.
What I don't understand is that..most of us grew up with awareness that we needed to take better care of our planet. But it was always clear that the companies and governments that were profiting from exploiting natural resources were way more focused on short-term benefits...and in the long run, as the famous saying goes, we all are dead.
Ice Cores May Not Be Accurate Thermometers * * * * * “We don’t believe the ice cores can be interpreted purely as a signal of temperature,” says Anders Carlson, a University of Wisconsin–Madison geosciences professor. “You have to consider where the precipitation that formed the ice came from.” https://www.astrobio.net/climate/ice-cores-may-not-be-accurate-thermometers/ Lots of other dissent from orthodoxy can be found online.
A year ago, we were told we only had 12 years left. It's now 11. Millennial movements that predict the End of Days go back much longer than recorded temperatures. They have always been wrong. Every time. The data is remarkable in that regard. I plan to be here 11 years from now, marking the 27th anniversary of the Comeback and reminding you how cold it is in November in some parts of this country. I expect you'll still be around to hear me say, I told you so.
. . . throughout human history, people have had to adapt to climate changes - some long, some severe, and many unpredictable. They have blamed themselves for bad seasons, believing they had invoked the displeasure of the gods through a large variety of offenses. High priests of doom told them so, extracting oaths of fealty and offerings of penance for promised interventions on their behalf . . . Nobel Physics laureate Ivar Giaever has called global warming a “new religion.” Its temple is built on grounds of faith rather than scientific foundations. Climate change is not Mother Nature’s retribution for human audacity to multiply and survive, any more than a tornado that destroys a particular church is God’s retribution for belonging to the “wrong” congregation” Get over it! It’s not all about us! Climate changes and shorter-term weather events are the way nature balances itself, move heat and moisture around, and provide motivations for species to evolve. CO2 is a small but nonetheless important part of the system. Without it life would not exist at all . . . Global warming has been effectively marketed by doom-speakers because it provides really exciting visual impressions: icebergs calving, polar bears exhausted from swimming, and such. Endless “authorities’ will back up these images with scary prophesies regarding just how bad things are likely to get based upon speculative theories and unproven computer models offered as articles of faith. Religious history is replete with stories of floods, from Noah to Gilgamesh. But melting and freezing patterns are far too complex and regional to be predicted by models. In addition, accurate satellite records only recently became available. It’s also important to note that higher and lower atmospheric CO2 concentration trends have tended to follow, not lead, temperature changes which have occurred for a large variety and combination of natural reasons. Knee-jerk responses to alarmist forecasts make for great media, but do so at the expense of good science . . . https://www.forbes.com/sites/larryb...on-the-gospel-according-to-gore/#783b42ff2d5d https://fcpp.org/2012/09/21/climate...on-with-fundamentalist-religion-than-science/ https://blog.friendsofscience.org/2...h-award-winning-dutch-filmmaker-marijn-poels/ https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-human-beast/201806/is-environmentalism-religion https://principia-scientific.org/senior-skeptic-scientist-blames-eco-religion-for-climate-dogma/ https://listverse.com/2019/09/26/climate-change-religion/
Today in chapel, we confessed to plants. Together, we held our grief, joy, regret, hope, guilt and sorrow in prayer; offering them to the beings who sustain us but whose gift we too often fail to honor. What do you confess to the plants in your life? pic.twitter.com/tEs3Vm8oU4— Union Seminary (@UnionSeminary) September 17, 2019

How 'bout those aerosol spray cans used to paint the mural of the new messiah? Wonderful for the environment.

Cheating in Major League Baseball? Say it ain't so! . . . Four people who were with the Astros in 2017, including pitcher Mike Fiers, said that during that season, the Astros stole signs during home games in real time with the aid of a camera positioned in the outfield. Now, an MLB investigation into the Astros’ culture in the wake of the team’s firing of assistant general manager Brandon Taubman could be expanded to determine who in the organization was aware of the sign-stealing practice — and whether it continued or evolved in subsequent seasons . . . [Emphasis added] https://theathletic.com/1363451/201...much-broader-issue-for-major-league-baseball/ Wonder what would happen if there was ever an "investigation" into what is happening behind the scenes in MLS?
Further to my point. At today’s DACA prayer breakfast, Sen. @maziehirono says we need activists “committed to human rights and environmental rights, climate change — believe in climate change as though it’s a religion (it’s not it’s science).” pic.twitter.com/0j7IU6apcP— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) November 12, 2019
