    We lost the first one I went to, plus we had little kids with us and, we were standing right in front of guys who were swearing like sailors. By my next game, it was just me and my brother in law, we were sitting by the visitors penalty box and I was yelling at Primeau like I had a clue about hockey, completely swept up in the emotion of the moment. And a Sharks fan ever since!

    In fact, it'd be cool if all three of the Bay Area's major cities' modern arenas (SAP Center at San José, Chase Center and Oakland Arena) were to be utilized as such. :)

    Just to clarify, Lewis Hamilton came in 2nd last weekend in Texas but only needed to finish in the top eight to clinch his 6th F1 championship title. The record holder, Michael Schumacher, won 7 titles, Lewis is now well on his way to becoming the greatest ever.

    Umm... To not be too pedantic but... The Hamster came second to win his 6th World Championship. Bottas won the race.

    "Global warming: became "climate change" many years ago due to some very literal people who could not seem to understand/accept that human activity is adversely affecting our planet.

    Yes, exactly. Weather and climate are exactly the same thing. Spoken just like someone who has never taken any courses in complex systems...

    When it's cold it's not evidence of the absence climate change, but when it's hot it is evidence of its existence. Got it.

    From USA Today, last July, quoting a meteorology professor:

    Paris soared to a record high of 108 degrees as most of Europe sizzled under its second heat wave of the summer.

    * * * * *

    Climate scientists warn this could become the new normal in many parts of the world as the planet continues to warm.

    “There is likely the DNA of climate change in the record-breaking heat that Europe and other parts of the world are experiencing. And it is unfortunately going to continue to worsen,” said Marshall Shepherd, professor of meteorology at University of Georgia.

    A 150 years of recorded temperatures is not a long-term trend in the history of climate. There's the difficulty.
