Brighton had the best of the game as Manure's megabucks players were terrified to move forward with the ball once they'd taken the lead - big surprise there.

with better finishing Brighton could have had 4 or 5 goals but they were off target / drew very good saves repeatedly.

Mata looked totally pissed when he was subbed off. can't blame him.

Manure had about 4 shots the whole game I think. paying money to watch that crap??? no wonder they're all booing.

Very disappointing result from a Brighton perspective (I'm currently about 10 miles outside Brighton), as Brighton at the very least matched Manchester United in every respect except goals scored. It was curious that Brighton kept Glen Murray on the bench until the second half.

United advance, but they were not exactly deserving winners.

They will pro’ly get the easy draw in the semis - I’m calling Southampton over Wigan...Chel$ki and Spurs will play in the other semi...

    I pro’ly won’t watch any of it...but...

    Oh, and “No heritage”?
Wonder what Alex Ferguson has to say about that?

I watched Huddersfield v Crystal Palace and I can't work out why some people think Sakho was/is better than Lovren. I'm sorry but he's just as as bad (or good depending on whether you're a half-empty or half full person.)

It’s the standard thing we do as supporters. The myth around the benched/injured/sold player builds and builds until we have convinced ourselves they are the solution to all our problems.

imo Maureen is doing what he always does when he realizes he can't simply buy his way to success - slowly, bit by bit, piss off his bosses, his players, and the fans so they'll get rid.

he'll go to PSG unless Conte beats him to it. if he doesn't get PSG he'll go to Russia or China. it might take another season or two, but it'll happen.

Naby Keita with the Equaliser Vs Bayern and the way he glides across Midfield has me salivating thinking of that transition play next year with Us supplying Mo and Co.

I think Sakho has a higher ceiling than Lovren, but is almost as error prone and is never fit. Lovren loses his head far too much to ever be a long term solution for us, but Sakho was never the player we hoped he'd be.

That’s debatable. I do agree that Lovren is not mentally suitable for a team challenging— once he gets rattled that’s pretty much it for the match.

I'd agree with this, and I'd throw Mignolet in that basket with Lovren...both are decent at their positions, but neither seem to be able to recover from a blunder, and once made, they go downhill quickly for the remainder of the match...

I agree with this except for one major point...a Spurs - Blues final would mean that one of them wins - and I don't want that to happen for either of them...

    Come on Southampton!

Sakho put in a few 9/10 performances in big games for us and I'm not sure Lovren has ever done that, but neither are really good enough for our first team and now we have VVD, it highlights just how stupid the whole debate around them was. We had arguments over which average CB should be our leader. :(

The sooner Potch and Kane move to RM the better so they can ******** off down the table and back to irrelevancy, IMO.
