INTER MIAMI is a great name, you got that right. And if Miami Beckham United choose it, it will serve a great purpose for fans, communities, and club.
What if, hear me out, if he does use the name from you but he decideds to use guevaras idea?!?! Would u go for it? I honestly think we all win in that scenario Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Haha, trademarking Inter Miami and trying to license it to MLS should be a Seinfield episode! I don't know specifics of this business you guys are discussing and how much of this is true or not, but it sounds like the best Kramer business idea ever!
Don't care for a giant soccer ball in water, as not unique nor original enough for Miami (or anywhere really), nor the monochrome colors, but no control over design nor name MBU pick. INTER MIAMI SUPPORTERS TRUST was created to try to ensure a form of fan ownership, along with fan involvement in club & community, so as long as they license and use name INTER MIAMI, which will fund the non-profit and it's club & community efforts, as well as provide fans real ownership in part of its team/club, that is what matters. The several thousands on our Facebook page seem to prefer including Miami's authentic & traditional colors of orange & green and pirates or palm trees or both....
partner with the NPSL Miami Fusion move them to the USL in 2018 and call them Miami Fusion B and call the MLS team Miami Fusion.
Of all the problems currently to be had in Miami in its quest to get a MLS team, the name is probably priority #1748.
Interview article explaining both INTER MIAMI for MLS and now GOLD COAST INTER for USL in Palm Beaches. Hope you enjoy! http://www.americanpyramidblog.com/...wned-christian-franek-of-gold-coast-inter-afc
I'm actually starting to wonder if everyone just makes up random designs in hopes of landing a contract. Or that the real design looks close enough so they can make a copyright lawsuit out of it. I rather have a damn stadium site and announcement at this point. All this designs are just flights of fancy to me. If Beckham does get his team he'll probably contract a vetted design team to make one and not pick one off of local soccer sites. Because copyright and intellectual property will be at stake.
I think it's going to be LAFC & the Sacramento Republic FC in 2018. Maybe, Miami will come in sometime in the future but I'm thinking that it looks like Cincinnati & St. Louis in 2020 and Detroit & San Antonio or Austin in 2021. So long, Magic City.
Certainly will be ownership's decision on name, colors, design, etc. Regardless of who majority ownership is, they will decide for themselves whether it makes sense to choose an identity that a majority of the fans voted for and own, or not. But, we've provided current ownership our concepts, and we've been talking with them about fans' ideas, for Miami & South Florida.
And really, fans coming up with ideas about their team is a great way for them to stay engaged and continue to be a part of the process of creating their team/club, no matter how far or near to becoming a reality it may be. #KeepHopeAlive #AllOrNothing
That logo, while great in many ways, makes me want to shorten it to "Miami Inter", not "Inter Miami". Loving the GCI logo, though.
INTER MIAMI is nickname, but understand what you are saying. Full name acronym is M.I.A.F.C., incorporating an often used reference to "The MIA". Glad you like the GOLD COAST INTER for USL creation. That whole concept was much easier to get a consensus on. So much of that idea just seems to come naturally and with considerable support. Now need to make moves to "go live" with entire project, which includes soccer guru Thomas Rongen and hopefully Florida Atlantic University Stadium in Boca Raton.
