what part of the game do you like best, why do you prefer soccer than other sports in the world other that the popularity
in soccer, you are always moving, and you never stop. (unlike baseball, you just watch your teammates do the action alot while you sit in your lazy butt in the dugout) its something that provides a challenge, too. there is always something you can improve on to up your game level. its exciting and FUN!
baseball doesnt even qualify as a sport.....fat old people can do it.........yet most baseball players take the 'roids.....
Soccer IS the best sport because it is about the players. Soccer has been called a simple game. It is only simple in its structure and rules of the game. To be good at Soccer is extremely difficult. Soccer players have to incorporate a wide variety of traits (ie. speed, strength, skill, intelligence, endurance and other physical/athletic abilities) more than most other sports. All players have to be skilled and athletic, unlike Amer. Football and Baseball. Soccer is not controlled from the sidelines like Amer. Football and Baseball (agreed, not really a sport), the players have to make their own decisions the entire game. The game is fluid and ever changing, again, putting more pressure on the players to adjust or lose. Players have to play as a team. There is no one man commando in Soccer as there can be in Basketball. The combination of talents is what will always keep Soccer exciting. Its not always lumping the best players in the world together that makes the best team in the world. Its the right combination of great players. Another great thing about Soccer is the entire world plays it. The competition is endless. The game is huge. Its graceful, its gritty and nasty, its fast, its awe inspiring. What else can anyone ask for in a sport?
as a back, i like being allowed to play a physical game. at the same time i like being able to play a nice flowing game at the same time. this sport offers that. it also demands cohesiveness and selfless play.
I love it how american football players consider soccer to be a "pvssy" sport because we're not fat and gigantic and that we dont throw our bodies on each other. Then we stop and rest for a minute and do it all again. Anyways, back to the topic. I love the nonstop action and that something so spectacular can come from the ugliest of plays.
A perfect tackle that a lot of the ball and all of the opponent afterwards. A brilliant curving cross right onto an attacker's head. A powerful shot from way outside the box that travels straight, rising each second until it finds the top corner. Pulling off the perfect flip-flop, throwing the ball through the defender's legs. Diving to the top corner to pull off an impossible save. Pulling off a dummy move that leaves everyone on the pitch but your strike partner off-guard. Stringing together one- and two-touch possession into a brilliant flowing move. Bringing down a difficult cross perfectly with just one touch with your chest... ...then shaping yourself as it slowly falls to the perfect height and you put your foot through it... ...and celebrating with your team-mates after the volley finds the net. You can form a tight bond with a stranger on the pitch without saying a single word other than "through", "switch", "man on" and "shoot" Man, it's just the beautiful game!
It is great because you see the best players in the world doing things that you can only imagine and when you attempt something that you have seen say Zidane, Ronaldihio or Lampard do and it you do it. The feeling is amazing. The way that you let go in certain situations and just do things and afterwards you think Did i really do that? And of course the greatest feeling on earth. Scoring a goal. no matter who it's against or what it was like you still get a buzz. Once every couple of games you do something to make yourself proud It's pick up and play all u need is ball and an empty space. a back ally, a field, a school yard or even in the house. No matter how bad you feel play football with your mates for one afternoon and everything will be ok. FOOTBALL IS THE GREATEST THING ON EARTH.
