I think with the changing environment of the World Football that the compeitition in Europe won't hold that much weight anymore.

 

I hope Sweden makes it out but I think we are out of our streak. We did well against Holland, France and Italy but I doubt this trend will continue into the WC so I cast my vote on Germany and Mexico.

 

Also keep in mind Italy and Netherlands are not good teams at the moment. France is better but the win was a really lucky goal at the last min.

You missed the core of his statement they always qualified from ConCrap which isn't a challenge at all then it is the constant experience they gain over the years at the world cup (copa america too) that made a massive difference in the last 20 years for them, before they are really not better than top asian teams Iran, South Korea or what have you.
But I agree they are the best national team outside europe and south america in current era.

 

Just like Argentina vs Germany, Mexico is a constant, Mexico will make it out of the group and then lose to Brazil in the round of 16.
