What surprised you the most about this Asian Cup?

    The performances of the host nations - albeit Malaysia... who all gave an excellent account of themselves in this tournament... pushing even some of the Big 5 teams all the way. Vietnam still in the tournement.

    Australia's horrible performance (although they had Aloisi, Kewell, Viduka,...)reminds me a lot.

    Australia, Japan, and Iran were horrible!

    How badly Aust went after such a great WC.

    How well Vietnam went in the group stage and to a lesser extent how well Thailand did in their fist 2 games.


    The very very poor crowds of 2000-3000 at some games was embarrssing for Asian Football.

    Aussies thought that they would easily win the Cup.
    However their over-confidence paid off.
    They frankly didn't realize how strong Asian football is.
