Apparently they are going out of business in favor of a gas station that sells beer. That's' unfortunate. Where else am I gonna rent movies for change I find in the seat of my car that have no seeders?
Finished all of Agent Carter yesterday. I absolutely love it. Hayley Atwell is amazing, so is James D'Arcy. Characters were well written and the plot pulled me in. Wish they didn't cancel it. Hell, I wish they had a spinoff for the Miss Underwood character. She was hilarious in the second season.
Why would anyone need to rent a movie nowadays? I have to go out of town for work this week so I'm going to load up a couple of USB sticks with the second half of season 4 of Gotham and season 2 of Legion.
Holy schnikes, there is a remake of Point Break https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2058673/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2
Well they have a rack of a shit ton of movies for 50 cents for 5 days and it's 5 minutes from my house. I like walking in and just looking at the covers of movies that likely have zero seeders and the world has completely forgotten about. Sometimes it's nice to be like "oh that exists?". I agree plex is amazing but, I started going in there again for the first time after 5 years because I had to meet someone for dinner down the street and I really enjoy the experience. But, they're finally closing so I guess that experience is finally dead. Want to watch a rom com from 1995 good luck torrenting that. Oh and your plex library looks like mine with all the unwatched garbage
Went to see Solo instead of Serbia v Switzerland. It was much better than I expected. I thought the pacing was just right, loved the set pieces, and the actors that I expected to do well did well. I felt like the dude who played Han wasn't very good at being Han, but he portrayed a compelling character. It was also better at being a Star Wars movie than Last Jedi (although not nearly as great of a film). There was some stuff near the end that kind of irked me, but it was plot. Had to be done.
I had free tickets and still couldn't convince myself to go. Was better than I thought it would be. Speaking of low expectations
Saw Jurassic world: Fallen kingdom. Not a great film but it was enjoyable. CGI today can make you believe anything is rea. Maybe it can make fire fans believe Andrew wants to spend money on the fire.
I was going to get Assassin's Creed: Origins out of the library again, but it wasn't there. So instead I picked up some movies. I got Birdman, Logan Lucky, Hail Caesar, and The Danish Girl. Also got Attack on Titan: Junior High. My mom and I love the manga, didn't think they'd actually make an anime.
I just ordered Up The Creek. If you ever want a movie with the worst of the ‘80s racist, sexist, cliches, Up The Creek is for you.
Logan Lucky and Birdman are the best of those. On a side note I have 2 free movie vouchers and I work till 4:45. Should I stop at the liquor store before going to Jurassic world 2 tonight?
Well, Hail Caesar is just Hollywood for the sake of Hollywood. It's BS. Danish Girl won a couple of Oscars, but it's a drama.
On a lighter note, an animated movie out this year (which is on DVD) that anyone who posts here might enjoy is Early Man. Just the thing for long suffering Fire fans. I thought it was a hoot.
