Baby Driver was OK but, don't buy the hype. It tried to be a mix of Fast and Furious and Guardians of the Galaxy without being as good as either.
I hate superhero movies with few exceptions. Guardians (at least the first, haven't seen the second) was actually enjoyable. To be fair, I did watch it on a plane heading toward a beautiful beach, so was maybe in a less judgmental state of mind.
Season finale of Doctor Who. Pretty awful and nonsensical. Interested to see who replaces Peter Capaldi, though.
it's funny and campy without descending to outright mockery of the comic book tropes it's sending up. I'd say it plays directly to the Marvel fan's soul, but my wife, who near as I can tell never read a comic book in her life loves it and now has an animatronic baby Groot in her car. I dunno, man, maybe ask one of the other 150 million people who saw it.
Really, I should like something just because a whole bunch of people "saw it". Enjoy your time with Trump, YOUR Presi.... (no, I can't say it) Trump!
I'm not saying you should like it because 150 million people like it, I'm saying there are 150 million people you could ask why they liked it. My guess would be that about 149.9 million of them would tell you it was fun.
Of course, just giving you crap. However, I was surprised that you would use the "well lots of people like it" response. Sure and a hundred and fifty million people watch the Super Bowl, but it still is a five hour 'murica masturbation with fat guys running into each other and Budweiser. Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry have hundreds of millions of "followers" but.... The upshot is: All super hero movies suck, except the Nolan versions of Batman.
I liked Guardians 2. Not the best thing ever, but it was fairly enjoyable. Better music than the first, that's for sure.
