Finished Iron Fist. It ends sooo much stronger than it began, but its not enough to save the series. Its average at best. The fact that it took me this long to finish is a testament to that. The others I was sucked into binging in like 2-3 days tops. This one I was perfectly happy watching an episode or 2 then doing something else.
So Fate of the Furious comes out next Thursday and I have tickets for 7pm. I'm thinking of seeing if I can time it right to see Kong Skull Island and Power Rangers on the same day before the movie. Good idea?
Is the Navy Pier Imax expensive? I want to do a double header of seeing real mummies at the Field Museum followed by the new Tom Cruise movie hell is there a scientology church in chicago?
Dunno. Used to be on Lincoln Avenue in Lakeview; they could still be there. They had talked about setting up shop in Printers Row; dunno if that is "clear" yet. Their website is shit. AMC has no showtimes set up past today, and since there are no showtimes available today since it's after 9pm, there is no good way to get a fix on the price.
So apparently Bill Nye has a show in Netflix with a supermodel co host. How am I supposed to pay attention to the science?
Been a while, but I watched Kubo and the Two Strings. Very impressive animation, but I thought the plot was very paint by numbers. Basically every part was predictable. It had a lot of potential, but just didn't put enough into developing some of the themes. And the ending is dumb.
