ridiculous, forced, absurd, and lazy - they could have created a lot more drama just having the kid do nothing - Tench could still fret that he was seeing parallels between his interview subjects and his son, and the audience would be balanced between seeing it too, or wondering if Tench was being damaged by the interviews into seeing evil everywhere, which would have been a lot more compelling, imo.
100%. Or just run with the 2-3 other good plots they had going. I would have been totally happy if all the time dedicated to that went to more time in Atlanta.
It's the day of Polka apparently. Man these Amazon tablets are garbage but better than my phone I guess
Shaolin Soccer is another great Stephen Chow movie (and even on topic). I got a copy in Hong Kong that's poorly subtitles, which adds even another layer to the already funny movie.
I'm pretty far into the second season of Konosuba and it's very entertaining. A shut-in college kid dies and gets sent to a fantasy world, dragging along a useless goddess out of spite as his one bonus. Finds a girl who will ONLY use explosion magic and a crusader lady who loves pain more than any Chicago Fire fan. They all just work so well against each other. Seriously one of the best ensembles I've seen in a while.
Watching "The In-Between" a surprisingly decent NBC Summer replacement series (watching on Hulu). It could be totally cheesy or totally sappy, but it is pretty watchable.
Been a very long day. Not sure if i want to go to bed but just in case I'll put Lord of the rings on i think i have it on my kindle. Will that make me sleep quicker?
I've got a Fire comparison here. This season's Fire team is essentially the character Aqua. Everything on paper says that they're supposed to be amazing and over-powered. Instead, they're both stupid and unlucky and even when something goes right it also goes horribly wrong. Also of note, Aqua throws her teammates under the bus at every opportunity, but takes every chance possible to pat herself on the back for literally ANYTHING. Instead of learning useful skills, she is proficient in party tricks. To everyone not within the party, she looks like the best adventurer ever. To those within the party, she's a drunk mess who is unable to make good decisions on her own.
Exit Zero. A documentary about a SE side family when Wisconsin Steel shut down. Growing up near that area. It really brought back memories of the Region falling apart.
Harvest of Empire. Also, commercials on YouTube suck, but so would giving YouTube money to not show commercials ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Someone not stoned sum up the plot of big Lebowski and pulp fiction in a way that makes sense? Still not sure I understand either despite loving them
