Well I just want to say though NOT a movie but an 8 episode reality series, after watching this thing I now can honestly say however bad being a Chicago Fire fan is, it kind of pales in comparison to the poor Sunderland bastards. "Sunderland 'Til I Die" is on Netflix. I highly recommend. "Sunderland’s fans remain surprisingly upbeat, despite having grown wearily accustomed to coping with apparently bottomless levels of crushing disappointment." https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...wrong-in-english-football-documentary-netflix
I said on twitter that I'd love to do a similar style documentary of this upcoming season. No matter if we win or lose, the off-the-pitch stuff would be really interesting to follow as we see Free101 fight for their section back, the inside of a team who is exceedingly irrelevant in their own city, a cobbled together first team with no identity, and fans who have given the Fire "One Last Chance" this season. There is no happy or bittersweet ending. It will be a story of pain. Instead of doing a film documentary, I'm gonna try to use my new spot at MLS Multiplex to write some similar style stories there. More long forms and interviews.
I was just watching the Chicago Wolves game. I then started reading the wikipedia page of the Danvile Dashers and the Fort Wayne Komets to see if maybe I could catch a game on my week off work. I think I'll watch the Will Ferrell Semi-Pro movie
Half hoping that Mansueto comes out before the draft and says this speech word for word to announce his full takeover of the club
"I'll smoke it with you bro we'll go to the loonie bin together. I don't give a ********" Just saw the upside with Kevin Hart and Brian Cranston. Pretty much what I expected but good and heart warming
Fresh off the Boat. Damn first Asian comedy I believe on American tv and it might be the funniest already. Also I'm really high. What was that Keanu Reeves samurai movie with Ted Cruise?
Tom Cruise movie is The Last Samurai. I used to like it, kinda has a Braveheart in Japan feel. However, on recent viewing, the "white savior out samurais the samurais" trope is really annoying. The Keanu movie is 13 Ronin? Haven't seen it, but I'm guessing it's based on the fable of the same name.
Apparently for the Blade Runner 2049 bonus features, there's some short films as prologue for the movie. The first one of the three is an anime directed by the Cowboy Bebop guy.
