so what's Davies expecting to be earning at Munich? do they provide a translator or do they just keep him close to whatever English-speakers they have at the club?
btw I was looking over the stats for old vets like Rob Friend and Oliver Occean. Guys who seemed to score well in the 2 Bundesliga and the Norwegian league. But neither of whom did much for the NT. How do you think they compare to say Cavallini or Larin today?
Larin hasn't been that successful. 3 goals scored in all competition this season and they were in the same game vs a team from the Faroe Islands in EL. Even last season 75% of his goals happened in the same game as he scored a hat trick in Turkish League. He only scored in 3 games over the last 2 seasons in Europe.
Pretty funny looking at this thread last year when Larin scored all those goals in his first couple games. Jonathan David at KAA Gent is another hyped forward who hasn't scored since August 26th. Cavallini's the only Canadian Abroad striker scoring goals consistently in a 1st Division. After that we get to Jonathan Osorio, Alphonso Davies, and other midfielders. I wonder when the Nations League draw is?
what about Canada beating Saint Kitts and Nevis 1-0? Ranked 136 in FIFA and with a population of 55 000..... and the Canadian goal was scored by Grandpa Hutchinson soon to be 36 year old.

Robben announced that he's leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season. He also took Alphonso Davies under his wing. Every signed points out to Davies playing for the 1st team this season 1071729798693687296 is not a valid tweet id
This article highlights the importance of the Canadian Premier League and what it can do once more for Canadian Soccer Alex Bunbury was Cristiano Ronaldo's favorite player when he was growing up. Social medias in Canada are talking about this... Could this be extended to MLS clubs??? That's what Canadians fans are talking about
A late ruling against the Ottawa Fury participating in the #USL while @CPLSoccer debuts isn't just inflammatory up North; It threatens to open a North American soccer Pandora's Box https://t.co/liGtKKX0vd— NBC Sports Soccer (@NBCSportsSoccer) December 13, 2018 It's no surprise that #TFC, #VWFC and #IMFC have offered support to the Ottawa Fury in its sanctioning fight. If the goal is to not allow exceptions, will the MLS teams be in the sights of CONCACAF in the future?— Steven Sandor (@stevensandor) December 13, 2018
The Ottawa Fury that were in USL just got denied their sanction for the 2019 USL Championship season by CONCACAF. They say they will fight it while the 3 MLS clubs supports them, however, for the Confederation to pull such a move signals that they are confident in their ability to enforce it. This leaves the Ottawa Fury with few options: Join CPL if they will accept them (they have legitimate reasons to reject them) Join League 1 Ontario (Division 3) Sell to investors wanting to acquire an Ottawa club for CPL Take a hiatus to rethink their options Fold and another investor will move in. Their agreement with the city of Ottawa for their exclusivity rights for soccer at TD Place would be voided and a CPL club would be allowed to play from it The Fury screwed themselves by not joining CPL while they had the chance. The CSA had already sent signals that it wanted out of the USSF system and CONCACAF had been clear on not supporting cross-border leagues.
They're a USL franchisee, for which they paid $5 million and as of yesterday were actively participating in the 2019 season. Not only will they have nowhere to play but USL can charge them a $700k termination fee (10% of the current expansion fee). The simplest thing to do is what the Welsh non-League clubs did after the formation of the League of Wales, play their home games across the border while the issue goes through the courts. Let's go Ogdensburg Fury!
This just wreaks of Montagliani overstepping his bounds, and driving his personal agenda. The FMF and USSF bring in the majority of the money for CONCACAF, when push comes to shove they will "win" this battle.
He's not overstepping at all. This decision is fully justified and within the the Confederation right to enforce. The CSA has done this before when it stopped it sanction of Ontario teams into PDL forcing them into League 1 Ontario or to fold. This is the same here. Teams being allowed in another country's league are exceptions under extreme circumstances and that no longer applies to Ottawa, so they have a decision to make
It would show how badly out of their league the US is, that's for sure. That would just about put the final nail in the coffin for the MNT in terms of the rapidly shrinking respect it has.
