Jonathan Osorio A Liga MX club wants the reigning CONCACAF Champions League best scorer as of this summer. Bundesliga clubs are interested in Osorio as well. 1005627368126459906 is not a valid tweet id He might have climbed a few steps on the National team depth chart at midfield
Ripe for a Europe transfer at the end of this season. The kid has crazy potential... he's only 17 years old
It would suck for MLS to lose two incredibly talented players but they have shown that they have the talent for this level. Time to take the next step at a higher level.
Report: Turkish club Besiktas interested in acquiring #WhitecapsFC' Alphonso Davies https://t.co/Wt3b4r4Ooh pic.twitter.com/7vSVAL17Hq— Daily Hive Vancouver (@DailyHiveVan) June 10, 2018
I'd prefer he'd go to England, Spain or Germany 17-year-old @AlphonsoDavies had 1 goal and 3 gorgeous assists for @WhitecapsFC on Saturday. He the youngest MLS player ever to record that stat line. pic.twitter.com/cOVmJQ2dkz— Tim and Friends (@timandfriends) June 11, 2018
In my opinion,Something like this -------------------------------------------Cavallini / Larin / Jackson-Hamel / Ricketts Millar / Davies-------------------------------------------------------------Hoilett / Teibert Arfield / Osorio / Twardek---------Hutchinson / Piette /Kaye---------Wotherspoon / Aird Adekugbe/De Jong---Cornelius/James---Ferreira* / Jakovic---Godhino/Cordova/ Brault-Guillard --------------------------------------------------Borjan / Leutwiler / Busti *(if we cap him) Starting XI Lucas Cavallini, (25) (Publa, Liga MX) Liam Millar, (18) (Liverpool U23) Junior Hoilett, (28) (Cardiff City, Premier League) Scott Arfield, (29) (Rangers, Scottish Premiership) Atiba Hutchison, (35) (Besiktas, Super Lig) David Wotherspoon (28) (St.Johnstone, Scottish Premiership) Sam Adekugbe (23) (Valerenga, Eliteserien-Norway) Derek Cornelius (20) (Javor Ivanjika, Serbian 1st League) *Ricardo Ferreira (25) (Braga, Primeira Liga-Portugal) Marcus Godhino (20) (Hearts of Midlothian, Scottish Premiership) Milan Borjan (30) (Red Star Belgrade, Serbian SuperLiga) *(if we cap him)
I would think so. Chapman could be an option at the right. We're ok at left and central. They could make the bench but definitely not starters
Germany and the Netherlands have always been my preferred first Euro stops for young talent. I have always wished the (at least American) young guys stay away from England, even the lower divisions, as they aren't as concerned with development and more concerned with the finished product. I am a MLS fan however after a certain point young prospects hit a developmental wall there and need to move to Europe to continue to get better. I feel like Davies is reaching the level where he needs to move on but Turkey doesn't seem like the place. That being said, I don't know too much about the league to talk about their ability to develop.
There are rumors of Bundesliga interest in Osorio too: http://torontosun.com/sports/soccer...-attracting-transfer-bids-interest-in-germany Of course, it's The Sun so who knows.
Congrats to @ManjrekarJames for signing with Danish Champions @fcmidtjylland 🇩🇰 Good luck 😉 https://t.co/2IHbRkfg2v— Sigma FC (@SigmaFC) June 12, 2018
4 year deal for Lucas Cavallini at Puebla https://t.co/x2bO6XfqIQ— Canucks Abroad (@Canucks_Abroad) June 15, 2018
Canada has better attacking talent than the US right now. While Canada has 3 strikers doing well, the US has none. Davies has a higher ceiling than anyone in the US pool and Cavallini is playing better than any American Liga MX player. Also, there hasn't been anyone like Larin that just go from MLS straight to Europe and score like he did. If not already, Canada is close to surpassing the US the next cycle. I'm jealous of the CSA's efficiency compared to that chaotic mess that's USSF.
Actually that isn't even close to true. Michael Bradley was a scoring machine in the Eredivisie when he moved there. Clint Dempsey seemed to have a lot of success in the Premier League as well. Yes, Larin did well in the few games he got to play in. Let's see what he does over an entire season before declaring that he is the Canadian Ibrahimovic. Not to mention, as many Canadian fans and observers will point out, Larin hasn't lived up to his potential when playing for Canada.
I'm pretty sure @CuriousGeorge.91 is not a US fan. He's doing a lot of trolling, and saying a lot of pretty ridiculous things.
He's the same guy on the U.S. Soccer Reddit page who pops up every now and then to say Canada and Australia are superior to the US, before his posts eventually get deleted by moderators. Portraying himself as a US fan is the best part.
I've never put anyone on ignore before this guy. Even if I don't agree with you, there still might be good points made but this is obviously a troll account and has zero substance to it. I'm not missing anything I'm sure.
Well our midfield is looking better than it have been in years, however, our defense is a big question mark. Our defense are either past their prime or still developing. To Herdman credit and acknowledging that Zambrano started that trend, "If you're good enough, you're old enough". We are going young with Godinho & Cornelius at defense and Millar & Davies up front. On paper, that's the best Canadian squad I've seen since 2000 when we won the Gold Cup, but we haven't proved anything yet. Next year Gold Cup & League of Nation will be our chance to show the change. I've seen it during 2017 Gold Cup, we're only going up from there. John Herdman is making a believer out of us.
