Well, they do have a point, IE does suck less. But given the abysmal starting point, that's not much of a surprise, is it. But unless you're using a Windows 8 phone or tablet, I see absolutely no reason to use IE. The competition is still so much better. BTW, on the Mac, I'm still all for Safari, on Windows, nothing beats Firefox. Although I do also see the appeal of Opera.
Still using Firefox, though at this point it's gotten more of a habit than anything else. There's a handful of extensions I am so used to using that I would struggle to adapt to any other browser, at least for constant use.
That's kind of like me, I guess. I do like how slick and small-sized Chrome is. However, Firefox just seems much more customizable with the "about:config" line. I can type in something like "bigsoccer technology" in the URL bar and it goes straight to this forum, since that's what Google has as their first result. I'm also a sucker for the traditional refresh/stop combined button as well as having the home button right beside it. Chrome's "tabs on top" thing doesn't really mesh well with me either.
Personal use: Google Chrome with Tweetdeck, Jolicloud, and Angry Birds Chrome add-ons. Incognito mode when needed. Software developer use: Firefox with Firebug, AdBlock Plus, VideoDownloadHelper and DownThemAll! addons. Always on Private Browsing mode. When Internet's kinda-slow: Opera in Turbo mode
Not quite. Chromium is a separate open-source project that is maintained by the Chromiun Project developers and its own community, and was made way before Google took interest on it a few years ago. Google Chrome is a derivative (fork) of Chromiun which has enhancements and support from Google. Both browsers are essentially similar in functionality (Chromium can run Chrome extensions) except the Google branding of Chrome.
My friend loves firefox yet I find It terrible, I have google chrome and internet explorer but mainly I just stick to internet explorer as its easy to use.
For everyday use, i use Safari on OS X. For web development (my day job), I use chrome since it has the best dev tools imo.
on my PC i use chrome. On my macbook I use firefox. When I look at porn I use internet explorer because its easier to delete the history.
I still use Opera 12 with ad blockers, etc. to do most browsing. Do not care for newer versions of Opera with the new engine. I was using Chrome a lot until the extensions I was using started injecting ads into everything. So I use Chrome for Google stuff and sites that don't serve ads then Opera 12 for everything else. I don't see a need for Firefox since most of my life is Google oriented... On my phone I use Chrome or Dolphin or Opera Mini but more modern sites are simply not usable anymore with Opera Mini...
I'd go for chrome. But recently i've been experiencing a lot of bugs with it like status bar not appearing. I have firefox as well who's I also like.
