no offense to the rest of ya, but Anderson by far was the best poster on this forum. funny as sht in person too. still convinced he was responsible for a couple of sock puppets in the early years..... .....or maybe he's still here!
I wouldn't say "best". More like most complete. Most balanced. Could talk about past World Cups, MLS and other leagues from around the planet. I do miss his posts. Good guy, as far as lawyers go! Ha! We randomly ran into each other circa 2009 downtown. Left work and went to lunch, talked Dynamo and how Cameron and Stuie will pan out now that De Ro is gone.
Correct! It is said "You can't go home." Which now that The Rob is gone and Rico, the last of dem 2006 boys, is also out of the naranja shirt. We really can't go home Bill but for sure many of us will always hold dear those magnificent days for our storied club. Also, Rikker is clearly our best post maker of all time!
If I can recall correctly he went off to college in the early 0ts. We used to see each other when he would go to our city's USL Houston Hurricanes FC home games. He was friends with Glenn Davis. I think we are talking about the same guy with that handle.
Correct. Joel. Good guy. Once he moved off to college, well I never heard from him again. Even when our city got our MLS team which we both had waited so eagerly for back in the day. Hence his handle name. Him and his buddy are the two guys that I credit with being the first hinchas in Houston soccer history. They would show up to our HHFC home games with a drum n some voice for some songs. They had to have been teenager high school boys. I was just 23 honestly. I showed up from the parking lot with beer breath! Haha! All this in 1999 n 2000. Damn has it been 20 years since games at Butler Stadium to now downtown at BBVA! Joel n I used to dream of the day. Living the dream Kryptonite. To bad our MLS owners and FO suits aren't.
Sorry Folks, I couldn't let this go by without sharing - and the point is there are many others who probably said the same thing but anyone who has lived in Houston for any length of time should know not to screw around with asking for more rain from a tropical storm or complaining that you didn't get enough rain from a tropical system: Could you send it back to Cinco Ranch so we can get a little more, please?— Web 🕸 Tilton ☮️ (@webtilton) September 18, 2019 At 11:30 I left to go 6 miles to eat with @hcastelltort @victoraraiza and @JorgeClara. Victor and Jorge had already backed out but it wasn’t raining when I left. In 10 minutes the street was under water, it rained 6” in an hour and I was stuck on a median for 2 1/2 hours. https://t.co/oRwSeUflcF— Web 🕸 Tilton ☮️ (@webtilton) September 19, 2019
Wtf are you getting on a out? So asking for rain to end a drought and fire risk is worth bringing in here to bitch and moan about? Ask him out on a date already or move on.
There are 5 confirmed fatalities from the storm - I’ve got no understanding for those who complained about not getting enough rain so they could avoid running their sprinklers. And the damn Dynamo themselves tweeted out a Happy Birthday to the guy last week, he’s like an unofficial mascot or something to the organization it seems.
If you weren't such a dick, maybe they'd send you a happy birthday message. Get over it. Sheesh. And sprinklers arent enough to fight a drought. Learn something.
I must have missed his post about drought concern, maybe some of the people whose homes have flooded can just put some water in rain barrels and ship it to him.
Save this space for nbrooks. Two more home games and I'm done - will probably check back in occasionally to see what happened to me
You like to use a camera. Ask the FO if you can attach a camera to a drone and be the Dynamo Pilot at game day. Buzz Bob Bradley!
