Both Dietmar and Mehmet had a very good match in the weekend. Sorry to see both aged by another 4 years since the last world cup. I treasure
Mehmet's creativity very much and missed him dearly in 2002. I would love to see him play in 2006. He still has a lot to show us.

Scholl and Didi would be great options to have on the bench, I'm all for bringing them in instead of players like Hitzlsperger or Owomoyela. Yea why not.

Isn't Trochowski a fantastic player? Ever since Bayern let him go he's been playing wonderful football for HSV. I'm glad to see him doing well. I wish Bayern just loaned him out for 2 years like they did with Lahm, though!

I totally agree. I always loved Scholli. Sure he's not the youngest anymore but he still better than Hitzlsperger will ever be.

Man, is there anything we don't agree on :p

Piotr has been doing great in van de vaarts absence as well, really pulling things together in HSV's midfield and scoring some important and awesome goals. For his young age, he has some presence which is very scholl like as you have pointed out. If he keeps this up, he'll make the NT in no time, if not this summer definetley in 2008.

Scholl, as good as he is, is always one pulled muscle away from wasting a roster spot.
