Assuming the United States and Mexico qualify for World Cup 2006, there are 14 possibilities of the CONCACAF third place team and the CONCACAF/AFC interconfederational playoff winner.
Or Panama and Uzbekistan. Yeah I'd love to hear those Eurosnobs whine - "it was luck", "they don't have any football tradition" (bollocks to tradition), "they will crash out in the first round", "they are ruining the excitement of the REAL teams". These scumbags sound like 50 year old men who just want the same 8 teams year after year. God how it's SO important for football to have an underdog (and not the US or Japan...a REAL underdog) win a World Cup. Come on Ivory Coast!!
Why can't you Mexicans follow something? Thet thread was teams from CONCACAF and Asia that would piss Eurosnobs off. So Mexico and the US or even Costa Rica aren't going to piss them off. Panama would.
Having been to a couple of their recent qualifiers I'd say it should be a pissed off drunk dude in a fake leather jacket hurling smoke bombs and bottles.
I love your post, I love it! it is great, you were repped for it At least you should have the balls to have your team in your profile
It's sorta like my high school team, then, the South Division Cardinals in Milwaukee, before all the Pollacks moved out. The Uzzies are just about my second favorite now.
And just think, in June 2004 if Cuba had scored 1 more goal, or conceeded one less, Costa Rica would have been out of the World Cup! Right there, in the 2nd round of CONCACAF Qualifying!
Uzbekistan would be fun to watch...no one really knows about them except for maybe Dynamo Kyiv's striker Maxim Shatsikh, but I'd like to see how they do. So I picked Guatemala and Uzbekistan.
Actually, that's probably more than most around the world know about Bahrain or Guatemala. Of the 4, Uzbekistan probably have the most players involved in the European cups this year.
playing in europe doesn't mean anything , almost all of T&T players are based in europe, and they still suck.
I mean "in Europe" as in, in the Champions Leauge or UEFA Cup. And I made no assertion about that being an indicator of ability. I was responding to the previous post about players being known internationally. Those tournaments get a lot of international attention.
