In the other, less educated parts of the internet there has been some discussion lately about how Nashville SC is "stealing" the color yellow from The Crew. This makes me wonder what the feeling of this group is on the topic of colors, especially given that The House That Lamar Built is located on Black & Gold Blvd.
My honest believe is,we have always been called Black and Gold from the beginning of the franchise! However our uniforms have always been Black and Yellow! My wife just agreed when I asked her but said it's been more of a gold yellow or banana yellow!
I remember reading somewhere that they wanted to be the “gold” team. Which apparently isn’t true since their logo appears to be yellow. It certainly isn’t gold—as in the NFL’s Niners or Saints, or as in LAFC’s and Atlanta’s true, gold accent color. WE are the Yellow Soccer Team. For them to try to wrest that from us, Charter Member 01, is heresy. As for being “blue and gold,” that niche is already filled by Philly. If they wanted to make themselves more unique their blue could be royal instead of navy. There are no royal blue and yellow teams. Their logo looks stupid. It looks like barbells and should belong to a fitness club, or that the “N” is wearing a pair of Bose headphones. And a Block O in yellow and blue?!? That’s the biggest abomination!
I voted Black and Yellow even though I do use Black and Gold in conversation. I think Black and Gold just rolls off the tongue better and as a graduate of a college that also labels yellow as gold (Toledo), I have experience in associating the color yellow with the title "Gold".

Debate just starting! (Well for championship colors, black and yellow is dumb.) This sounds to me like Blue and Red are championship colors. That Yankess are champions. And the city of Pittsburgh (You left off The Black and Gold Pittsburgh Pirates and their 5 titles) has won multiple championships. I know you all on this board boo and hiss the mere mention of any color scheme that isn't Black and Gold (Yellow) But I still envision updating the Ohio Pennant to Capitol Blue, Silver and Scarlet. And then letting each Ohio team compete for the right to have to wear the Ohio Pennant. Crew vs. FCC Hell is Real Derby Winner winner gets to wear the Ohio Pennant Alternate Jersey for the next season. BlueJackets, they just get it. Any Ohio College Team can wear it. Browns vs. Bengals Series winner. Indians vs. Reds Series winner. Clippers vs. Mud Hens Series winner. OH - IO
