I missed this Weston assist from last week. An assist for @WMckennie and a goal for @HajiWright in their @s04_en A-Junioren win this weekend #usmnt https://t.co/7UoghPls9r— Dallas Cup ⚽️ (@dallascup) April 4, 2017
Highlights from a friendly game like 8 or 9 days ago between Schalke U-19 and PSV U-19. Weston and Haji played. I don't think Nick did, but I'm unsure. Weston and Haji were involved in the build up to the second goal. Weston committed the foul that lead to the PSG goal (didn't look like a foul to me), and he also had a nice play at the end where he nearly scored, but hit the post.

I wasn't going to even mention this match lol 2-0 loss yesterday. Schalke fans really weren't happy, so lets just erase the tape of this one, and act like it didn't happen. McKennie and Wright both played the full 90, no Taitague.
https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/schalkemerica-04.2042581/ I literally made one the day before you guys talked about it.
Tomorrow is pretty much the biggest game of the season for Schalke U-19's. They are playing Leverkusen. 2nd vs. 3rd, they are currently 3rd on goal differential, but its by a lot, so they'll probably need to finish with more points. Currently they are tied on points. Top 2 teams advance to the playoffs, Dortmund has two easy games left and are in first by two points, so they are probably already qualified. All three teams have pretty easy fixtures the last game of the season (and Dortmund's second to last game is also an easier opponent), so Schalke probably needs to beat Leverkusen tomorrow. Its a home game though. Havertz wasn't in the squad for Leverkusen's first team on Friday, which is strange, since he's pretty much a starter for them, and they are facing possible relegation. I wonder if he's dropped down to the U-19's for this match.

858702630033522688 is not a valid tweet id looks like Weston got the assist on the winner. Hard to see the number, but looks like Weston's #7.
Yeah, that was Weston. And the secondary assist to Haji. Dortmund also lost, somehow. They were playing Passlack and Isak, and still lost. As long as they win next week, they probably qualify for the playoffs.
Think this means that he got the game tying goal and that is how the game ended 64.| TOOOOOR! #WSV - #U19 1:1. #McKennie trifft. #schmiede #s04— Knappenschmiede (@knappenschmiede) May 6, 2017

Leg 1 of the semi-final against Bayern is on Wednesday at 9:55 AM ET. There should be a stream for it, as its being shown on Sport1 in Germany. The second leg is the following Tuesday. Side note from the draw, Haji played 78 minutes, and was replaced by Nick. Sounded like Weston and Haji were both active in the game, besides Weston's goal, of course. Each had a few other mentions on the ticker, including it seems like Haji hit the post. Nick wasn't mentioned on the ticker besides being subbed in.

Lets call his first his performance average. He won a few battles in midfield, but was a little off with his passing and finding the game. In the second half, I thought he was very good. He was winning balls all over the field, in every which way, and got forward some. He was playing basically as like a 3rd CB later in the game. He did a pretty good job in that half, I thought. Might've been the best player in the 2nd half. You could hear the coach Norbert Elgert (pretty legendary coach for all the players he's produced) screaming at all his players the whole match. One time he was yelling at Weston, and evidently Weston wasn't listening, so he started yelling at him in English, which I found funny.
He also has an excellent long throw. Like every single throw in somewhat near the other team's goal, he'd throw it into the box. And he even took a few near his own goal where he heaved the ball as far as he could.
Anyone know why Weston lost captaincy? It seemed as though he was tabbed early and captained all of the U19 season games. Maybe I haven't been paying close attention. However, watching video replays of the 3-1 win over Bayern, it is clear that #8 Jannis Kübler played the 90 wearing the armband. Odd thing to do in a playoff situation. [edit] It looks like Kübler also captained the U19s for the previous 1-1 draw. Also read that 5 players share captaincy, so question answered by google.
Kubler is the main captain, and has been all season. McKennie's been the captain the few times that Kubler has not played.
Tomorrow's match is at 11:45 AM ET. However, it seems like only the second half will be shown on TV, as there is a scheduling conflict that won't have the first half shown on Sport 1. They have a stream listed on the website that is IP blocked to only allow those in the countries the channel is shown to watch the stream. I'm pretty sure there won't be any free streams of that on the internet as thats already an internet stream, the streams found are usually of TV channels. Maybe they'll figure something out, and show it on TV, but right now its looking more like the first half will be on the internet with an IP block for non-Sport 1 subscribers with the second half on TV.
