I know this detailed article has nothing to do with Aussie Rules in the US but it is very topical in the AFL world. To the International Aussie Rules and general sports fans out there this is an example of how the AFL go about their business in establishing a brand new team in a Rugby and Soccer football heartland. No doubt it will attract much scorn and derision from the Rugby and Soccer codes fans in Sydney and elsewhere. The area involved is big in area and population and not everybody follows the established codes so the AFL sees a window of opportunity.
