The 'ammers are in 17th place. Or tied for 19th but for GD. Mark Noble read his team the riot act after they blew the Cup game last match. They're a team in trouble. They're 44 points behind us. Easy huh?????
Let’s just get used to it - as noted above - all these teams in poor form will be raising their game against us. The only question is if we can maintain our level regardless - which most likely means a win. This is our game in hand - any results sees us extend our points on City - we could be 19 or 17 up!
We're not taking our foot off the gas, especially after what Klopp witnessed on Sunday night. Just keep winning.
This is a chance to break another record. No Liverpool team has ever beaten every single team in a single season. West Ham are the only team we are yet to beat.
I don't care about winning the league. I just want Liverpool to break Manchester City's points total. 101+, here we come.
West Ham will not survive as a club if they go down to the championship. They are that much in debt they will never recover. It'd be a real shame to lose a club with that much history. Still, history aside, we want those three points for our own history and they will be fighting like hell for survival. There are no easy games any more
Klopp confirmed that Mane will miss this game and Saturday against Southampton. With Wednesday to Saturday being a quick turnaround, there could be some squad rotation between the two games. The back 5 picks itself. Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, and Firmino will all be in there. It’s hard to predict what he does with the other 2 spots. Fabinho, Origi, Ox, Keita, and Minamino could all be considered for starting spots. I also don’t think anyone would have a problem with a shock start for Curtis Jones.
We've already dropped those 2 points. 112 will do, this season. It's always good to leave a space for someone else, or us again to aim at. We don't want to kill off hope.
True that, even Mo Salah took a while to find the net. I'm afraid he seems to have lost the way lately.
Gotta trust Klopp on this one. I remember seeing Robbo play in a preseason game shortly after we acquired him and thought he already looked better than Moreno, and was perplexed when the Spaniard remained the starter for so long, but it's hard to argue with the results since the Scot became the starter. A bit different with Mini. We saw him play against us in the CL and he looked deadly, and has only been a shadow of that player in the couple of times we've seen him in our shirt. But he is having to learn to play with players that are new to him, and then a whole new set when he played with "the kids". To me he looked tentative when playing with the starters (played it safe, didn't want to try outrageous tricks that didn't come off), and lost when surrounded by the reserves. I'm sure he'll come good. Keita arguably took even longer than Fabinho to settle!
