Not the greatest time to be playing the Baggies, as they have suddenly decided to play football after going through the motions for most of the season. The players have responded to the new gaffer and are making a strong argument for him to stay on for next season. This could be another Newcastle situation for us, because even if WBA are down (and they will be officially relegated if Stoke beat Palace in the early kickoff), it looks like they are giving their all for the new manger. That, combined with our lethargic performances since the win at Kremlin FC, will make for a difficult game. We still need 5 more points to be sure of CL football, yet I don't sense any urgency around the players or the manager. Most of the talk surrounding the club is about certain players and the manager leaving, and managing expectations.

See, this is a controversy only here in the US, and created by people who have never been out of the US or met anybody who has lived outside of the US. Or anybody who doesn't like soccer. I'm not a fan of ketchup, but don't mind a mayo/ketchup mix with my fries. I also remember many years ago there was an article about John O'brien on the Ajax youth team. In one bit, it talked about how he was tackled hard in practice because he more than his share of fries. A side note was that they used mayo as the sauce, not ketchup. This was '95 or '96.
Mayochup is the lite variant of what is called in the western USA 'fry-sauce', culturally centered at Provo, Utah. Addition of pickle relish and other spices is common for fry-sauce, but the base is typically mayonnaise and ketchup. Fry-sauce has been a condiment in those areas for many decades.
Looks like a 'shop window ' side with Rose and Alderweireld playing. I think WBA know they are doomed regardless of the mathematics. Unlike Brighton the other week I have no real affinity for them. They used to be something of a bogey team for us: Kanu always seemed to give us trouble. But not lately.
West Brom is playing like a team with something to win. Spurs are not. Only our raw talent and luck is keeping this from being a bad outcome, so far.
set piece defense is horrendous. on the other end, spurs set pieces have been completely non-threatening

spurs put a ball into west brom box, their defense deals with it west brom puts a ball into spurs box, and it ping pongs around 10 times. that happened at least a half dozen times this match it was bound to finally bite spurs

Shows a team of cloggers can win on any given day. PL is set up for this kind of drama, they love it. Our fault for allowing the position to arise.
