What a beautiful day overall with an easy win over Leipzig. Took it easy on them as well with Gnabry and Kruse out today. Brilliantly executed free kick to set up Grillitsch on the second. While very nice to see Kainz get his first goal for us. Definitely icing on the cake, and a good reward for his patience and good attitude that he maintains throughout all this time. Tremendous performances by Junuzovic, Delaney and Veljkovic. Seeing good old Davie Selke on the losing side was also an added bonus.

The advisor of Davie Selke was reportedly seen at the Weserstadion yesterday. Fueling speculation that discussions may have been held for potential options on returning to Werder in the summer. Exciting 5-2 win on the road against Freiburg. Didn't think we had it in us at the beginning. SCF got up to a better start in terms of possession. But the tides definitely changed after Kruse scored that brilliant goal. Delaney once again with a massive performance. What a player. That 2-0 just before HT was a major emotional boost. And it was all smooth sailing from there. Could have done without those 2 goals conceded but no complaints after this result. Continuing to stabilize our place in the standings.

Easy 3-0 win over Schalke in convincing fashion. Amazing what a strong run of form can do, we're all the way up to 8th place more. This team is playing with confidence, which has been an important missing factor for quite some time. Getting results against some of the opponents who should be considered as tougher as well.

Sucks to concede 2 second half goals. But a 2-2 finish against Eintracht Frankfurt while playing on the road is a decent result with all factors considered. Altogether, we got 7 points out of those 3 games in a span of 6 days. Not too shabby. Coming up next is the big Nordderby against HSV. Hopefully Gnabry and Sane will be fit in time. Kainz also showing again that he needs to play more.
