Alright, we got this one wrapped up. It was only against Hannover, but we took care of business on a home game we absolutely must win. Werder now climb into 14th place, ahead of both Darmstadt and Frankfurt.

Actually we're 13th now. Leverkusen ended up drawing 3-3 vs Augsburg. So that means Werder is one point ahead of the Fuggers at the moment.

Damn, can't catch a break anywhere. Veljkovic already injured and out for 3 weeks with a broken toe.

Held onto the draw and gain a point against Mainz, but frankly it's not enough of a result for this match day. Both Hoffenheim and Frankfurt won their games climb closer towards us. Djilo is going to miss next week versus Dortmund after picking up his 5th YC. Also don't know what the hell was going through his mind in that incident. Really acted immature in that moment, especially at a time where we can't risk missing anymore players. Wonder if the DFB will be issuing additional punishment.

Heartbreaking ending versus Dortmund. There's good and bad losses, but it hurts that much more when they work hard and come so close. Nearly had it towards the end, but set piece defending let us down on that final corner.

However, positive news is that we're now done with the toughest stretch (Bayern, Mainz, Dortmund) of this Rückrunde. Our placement in the standings also remain relatively unchanged for now. Next week at home against Augsburg is a gonna be a critical one. Absolutely need to win those 3 points to create some space for ourselves.

Augsburg will be without one of their key players next week, as Koo Ja-Cheol is suspended after picking up his 5th YC this season.

Eichin: "Thank god we have a repurchase option (for Füllkrug)". Although direct contact has not been made yet, we've been monitoring his development as he continues to make good strides. The clause again, is reportedly around 1.8 Mio. It's been mentioned that Ujah may be on the market this summer. If we get a buyer for him, then Füllkrug would make for a great immediate replacement.

Secondhalf woes continue. The inability to close out games in the late costing us once more. We're treading on thin ice again with that loss to Augsburg. Not only is it a loss, but we also gift 3 points to an immediate competitor for positioning. Back into the relegation zone we go. Next up is a home match vs Wolfsburg, not gonna be an easy one.

My hope now is that Eintracht Frankfurt remains just as bad. Because at this rate that's what it appears to come down to for who can get the playoff spot. Final match day on May 14 against them will be critical.

If things were to remain constant with the standings of today, we'd be on course to face Füllkrug's FCN in the pro/rel playoffs.:laugh:

Here's the remaining games to end this season. The final 4 are pretty winnable and within realistic expectations. Although with the way we've been playing lately it's very unpredictable how it's gonna turn out.

If there's a time to beat Wolfsburg then the chance is now. Coming off a loss to Real Madrid, and Draxler most likely missing due to injury. Gotta strike while the iron is hot.

Well, we got the win but unfortunately couldn't move up any higher in the standings. Thank god for that third goal. I figured Bas Dost was good for one at some point.

Hamburg - Bremen and Bremen - Stuttgart will be a hell of a match. Strange kick-off time for the latter (monday at 20:15..)

Shame about most of the other league results yesterday but we did increase the gap between us and Frankfurt which is a positive. Gives us a bit more breathing room there. We also got 3 points against one of our toughest opponents remaining this season. Which should hopefully be a boost of momentum going into those HSV and Stuttgart matches. Both of them along with Köln are within relative striking distance again in terms of possibly overtaking them in the standings.

HSV's starting keeper, Adler just got a straight red card vs BVB and will definitely miss the Nordderby. Lasogga also left the match earlier with an injury.
