Allison official. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/307806-jurgen-klopp-alisson-liverpool Jürgen Klopp simply could not pass up the chance to sign Alisson Becker, who he regards as one of the world's finest goalkeepers. Brazil international Alisson put the finishing touches to his transfer to Liverpool from AS Roma on Thursday - a move he described as a ‘dream come true’ during his first interview as a Red at Melwood. Klopp is delighted with the 25-year-old’s arrival on Merseyside and the manager has explained why he decided to make the stopper his fourth summer recruit, after Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri. The boss told Liverpoolfc.com: “At one point in the last few weeks it came up, the opportunity to sign one of the world’s best goalkeepers - then it’s not a long thought, to be honest, it’s only that you need to have a little talk with the owners! They were quite excited, so we did it. “I think it’s something we have to do. He has nothing to do with the price, we have nothing to do with the price, it’s the market, that’s how it is and we will not think a lot about it. “It shows the value of goalkeepers, of course, in this moment. It will happen a lot in the next few weeks I guess and that’s it, so we are really happy to have him here now. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44890499 Liverpool have signed Roma's Brazil goalkeeper Alisson on a six-year deal. The Reds have not revealed how much they have paid for the 25-year-old but it is reported to be about £66.8m (72.5m euros) - a world record for a keeper. "In terms of my life and my career, it's a huge step for me being part of this club and this family," said Allison. He has been at Roma for two years, and played 37 Serie A games in 2017-18.
Another very good signing me thinks. Klopp and his staff have done a brilliant job of signing top drawer players to fill in the weak areas of the squad. Saleh up top , Keita/Fabinho/Ox in mf VVD in def and now Alisson in goal. The spine has been massively upgraded and this is without a doubt the strongest squad I've seen at Lpool in a very long time.
erm .... wow https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44875174 Alisson: Liverpool's world-record signing from Roma is 'goalkeeper of the future'

Fabinho and Alisson should keep Bobby happy after coutinho left A few years ago I never had imagined Liverpool signing a player on top of his game on the world stage .....truly remarkable
Welcome Alisson! Looking forward to you dominating between the sticks. Nice to have an imposing keeper playing for the team and hopefully he replicates his form from last season.
According to Sky Sports, Liverpool’s save ratio was the second worst in the Premier League last season, languishing down at 64 per cent with either Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius between the sticks. This time around, it’s up at 86 per cent, which is better than any other stopper in the top flight and that’s a huge transformation. https://tbrfootball.com/one-statist...sson-has-helped-transform-liverpools-defence/
