Sorry to disappoint you but real Madrid won't have 200 mil. to spend on substitute players any time soon the way Guardiola does.

We actually do. We have spend 100M on two teenagers who aren't even substitute players.

You're comparing spending 50M now on teenagers who have the potential to be world class players to spending 70M per on back up full backs? Come on now.

Yeah,., the not having money excuse is all baloney to me.. We also made a ton of money from CL earnings..
Many factors go into play for Flo to not buy any players..
    - he wants to insist on Bale being the RM star which replaces Cristiano - he does not want to admit he was wrong with him.
    - he wants to bet on Spanish talent.. Ceballos, Isco, Asensio, Lucas and bringing any other good players to compete with them will basically look bad for these players if these new guys end up being much better.
    - the market prices are through the roof.. and we have already been victims of it by spending a crazy amount on Vinicious.
    - Benz tapes. :D

The joke is spain is that he seems to have picked up la flor (luck) from Zidane. Penalties and ludicrous own goals.

He's done well though but too early to rate him of course. Defensively we still look bad and i don't think he will have the minerals to bench bale.

He's likeable though and has that simplicity that Zidane had.

Sane, Jesus, Bernardo, KDB all have or had the potential to be world class. We also have spend 35M on daniLOL as back up same for Theo. There is not that much difference imo. Some ppl act like we never spend or did spend big, we do, city more, but we do too.

Funnily enough, we ended up selling "daniLOL" to them for the same amount that we bought him for.
You're missing the point and missing it hard. It's not about not "spending big". The difference is we spend within our means vs. them spending over 1 billion with nothing to balance the books because they have an endless well.

lol that wasn't the discussion at all. Discussion was Pep has spend big so ra "normal" to win the league. I say yes he does, but so do other teams and he still dominates that league. Everyone spends, when city and PSG weren't in this picture we were the ones spending heavily. You don't think other clubs hated that like we do now with city and PSG?

The other teams have not spent as much as City has over the last 5 years or so..
Did you not read that football leaks article where they point out both PSG AND City as the two teams which have outspent their competition by a significant margin.. ?

Spanish talent is for the most part just better. Ceballos is no bit worse than a lot of Serie A midfield players touted as if they're worth 100 mil. every summer.

Guardiola liked him enough to snatch him right out of our hands as soon as we pit him on the market. Supercoach.

Thats not the discussion. Of course they outspent their competition they had tor build their whole squad from mediocre to world class. Pretty selective to take 5 years so its suits your agenda. Why not last 10 years?

If you are talking squads not individuals then you mean PL top 4 class not world class yet, win a CL trophy first at least

Of course top 4, City was what competing for 8 - 12 th place before the arabs arrived? He has to win the CL this season with City, if not he has failed. same case with his Bayern team.

For just average players perhaps.. but those with higher peaks/super star material are generally not Spanish - I am speaking about attacking players.

Good for him. He's done well to right the ship, but there is a lot of work to be done before we can say he's a coach that's worthy to be here long term. On the other hand, the alternatives out there right now aren't inspiring to say the least.

I don't expect him to still be the coach in 2021, but whatever he's probably done enough to keep the job for the time being.

I also expect a lot of turnover in the squad the next couple of summers, so I can't really predict who will still be around a year from now.

    What a beautiful pic.

Florentino seems to have found the formula...….. hire a shitty coach.... when he loses fire him to "wake up the players". Hire a player friendly Real Madrid man as the next coach who will pick the line ups and motivate the players while letting them do what they do. Boom!!!

I wish Santi all the success Zizou had. IF and its a big IF we can sort out our defensive issues we can do something in the league this year. Barcelona isn't dominant. Vamos Santi!!!
