Point was .. if you are good ...you are good - nothing to do with color...wall is universally regarded as one of top pg in league for at least three years...what else do you want? If wizards had a better record ... maybe he would be in the MVP conversation

This is a lot how he also played at Madrid

Remember when Ozil first came to Arsenal his game was characterised by a huge number of sprints per game - usually 50+

    Wenger changed that

You know how many mediocre white QBs I've heard called "heady"?

Matthew Delladova is seen as a hard worker and has a shoe line. Wake up.

    So what

Like i said .. race and qb - is a different conversation - not same as pg

Just listening to a BBC interview of Wenger doing a bit of damage control with Ozil, especially his defensive qualities. Ozil is no doubt a rare talent, but this is never good when your manager has to be defending you to the press.

I hope the amount of negative attention that he's been attracting of late doesn't mess up his head so much as to set him back further, or to cause him to wanna jump ship.

That's not the point prince is making. He's saying that black players are equally hardworking and savvy, but it never gets noticed because of racial biases.

More games in England, more fatigue, and Ozil typically didn't play for 90 minutes in Spain, did he? Mourinho typically subbed him off at 70 minutes.

I know people dont like to be proven wrong about stuff (looks at @NorthBank ) but you're wrong.

The other thing to think about regarding that stat is Ozil has 100 less minutes on the pitch than Sanchez. Our eyes are attracted to busy players, hence why a lot of people think Sanchez is a good defender for some reason. He and Ozil are pretty similar. They just do it differently.

Ozil doesn't tackle as much but a) tackling doesnt show good defending b) Arsenal are not paying Ozil to tackle (nor Sanchez for that matter).

Ozil isnt good when we don't have the ball, but is great when we do. Maybe a system should be designed to lessen his weakness and play to his strengths. Its probably not gonna be Wenger's Arsenal.

Draymond Green gets called a thug for play that's much less dangerous, despite the fact that he plays just as hard, if not harder than Dellavedirty. His work ethic doesn't get highlighted. See the point?

What?.... every single pundit knows of draymond greens work ethic ... in fact most teams look for a player like him - 2nd round steal that outworks his opponent
In same vein... draymond is also known to be a dirty player - see multiple kicks to players groins over years - if that's not dirty I don't know is...
i don't know of anyone that labled him a thug but he is a bit dirty
You can have both - worker and dirty
I cannot believe you are making this is a race issue
    It is ridiculous

Come on now. This stat is ridiculous. It hardly seems fair to compare the elite strikers that Ozil has had the past few seasons to whatever non sense Xavi has had to piece together to get his assists.

Is this an ironic post because he has Messi or because Barca pass the ball around in their set pieces?

he played CAM early part of his career, but I agree that Xavi is a much better player than Ozil.

If Wenger retires and it's the reason Özil leaves...

That'd be a tough one to stomach. Wenger's final unwitting troll.
