A new week and the season in MLS begin to pick up quick. This week there were a few statement games.

The prime game of the week was LA and NY. With NY playing a solid and convincing game against the MLS cup champs. Again LA looked sluggish and we being to ask the question: Where is the Landon Donovan of Everton? At Everton LD was able to make sure that Denis Stracqualursi will name at least on grand kid in honor of LD since he gave him his lone goal in the EPL and against Chelsea! The Donovan of LA may wear the captain’s armband but he looks sluggish, much like his team. Keane is officially on a slump. His play has been anything but mediocre since coming to the MLS. Becks? What can we say? He plays with all the tools at his disposal but he had an average performance at best in front of the Olympic coach of England at the HDC.
LA is officially on high alert; the snobbish approach that all was right at the start of the season is now over. LA has lost a lot of ground early on in the season and with the new playoff format might be needing results as early as July to make it with the Sounders, RSL, and SJ off and running!

New York, they play timid sometimes but one day these guys will realize they are the best team on paper in MLS. The win against LA will hopefully wake this team up for good to start dominating MLS as they should be.

Kansas City will have a lot of questions to ask themselves. The best team in MLS at the start have lost 2 in a row. And now the questions are asked, where is that fire power? KC looks great up front but the front does not score many goals. As KC has many 1-0 wins. I believe this team is a GREAT unit. But they need to get those guys up top scoring goals to be unstoppable. For now the Achilles' heel is scoring more goals.

DC is coming back! Scoring and winning and gelling. DC are gaining ground and starting to put some good results together.

Dallas continues to slump as Colorado shows what could be with goals by Rivero and Castillion.

Teams need to start paying attention of the standings!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toronto are 16 pts behind a playoff spot as a worst case scenario. While LA who are slumping are 7
    points back!

Gold Star: New York Red Bulls. With a make shift backline the bulls got their big win. Now can they dominate?

Silver Star: Seattle Sounders FC their 3rd place in the west is kind of a fluke. With 6 wins and 1 draw and 1 lose. The Sounders have games in hand and have a great record.

Wooden Spoon: Toronto FC, am tired of calling out TFC. But really how worse can it get?
