That sucks for the Courage. That'll wipe out a week of recovery later in the season. With their short roster (only 18 players), nagging injuries, and numerous national team callups, they're going to be running on fumes at the end of the season.
Worth noting today: In 2005, Christine Sinclair and Megan Rapinoe were college teammates. Won the NCAA championship game 4-0, with Christine scoring 2 goals and Megan 1. A bit of firepower.
McCall Zerboni was on the losing side. http://andymead.photoshelter.com/ga...and-vs-UCLA/G00001fbj5ZC6SgI/C0000v3JBtyS912g
Why is that worth noting today? That game was on December 4, 2005. Sinc and Pinoe have had stellar careers in spite of their college experience. So were 26 other Bruins, and Jill Ellis was the UCLA coach. RE: Suspended KC-NC game. I did not like the way the game was leaning against NC during the first 30 minutes. KC Defense was Top of the Line. Barnie is Barnie. Becca Moros had her side of our attack shut down. Broon and Averbuch had the middle in control and Taylor is a rock on the right, she always is. LaBonta was bossing the midfield. Bowen and Groom overshadowed Leroux as serious threats. How can KC have only 3 wins and be suffering 4 losses in a row?
Well: Goals per game: 1.00 Goals against per game: 1.57 Goal differential per game: -0.57 Goals per home game: 1.50 Goals against per home game: 1.17 Goal differential per home game: 0.33 Goals per away game: 0.63 Goals against per away game: 1.88 Goal differential per away game: -1.25
...they do not have the ability to make up for good missing players like some other teams can. ...plus both syd and the defense seem to be shells of their former selves. ...still like how the team passes the ball, and hope the owners are patient with vladtko. but they are looking at houston's upswing since their coach was fired.
