man, some of the posts in here are pure gold. rough one really. it seems odd to be talking about a 4-1 aggregate loss and saying we really could have gone through but thems the breaks on this particular tie. as others said, if we'd taken our chances in the first leg the second would have been different and if we'd not shot ourselves in the foot in the second leg it would have been different. it was a lot of really tiny things that all added up to a horribly misleading scoreline.
i'd like to think if we can take anything from these games there is no reason the team can't finish in fourth. but we'll have to see how the players respond.
I actually think our only hope of CL for next season was winning CL this season. I just can't see us getting into the top 4. However we have Spurs in 2 weeks and they should be without Kane. We also have Liverpool in the penultimate match of the year. That could be for all the CL marbles (sort of like in the 01/02 season).
2003/04 season you plastic. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...ger-who-scored-chelseas-1bn-goal-2220694.html
2002/03 season, you plastic. That article is wrong. Roman bought the club in the summer of 2003. We finished the 2003/04 season in 2nd behind Wenger (he used to win stuff, you know).
I’m almost certain we had banging hangovers for that Liverpool game at the dickens inn (when it still was the dickens and things were good and you could have 4 lads drink all night for a total of fifty bucks).
