CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb: "Our agreement with CONMEBOL and FIFA is that we'll do it every 100 years."

I sincerely hope that the success of next year's tournament will get CONCACAF and CONMEBOL to think longer-term. I fully understand FIFA not giving us the green light to do this more often with everyone sending A-teams (let's face it: UEFA would never stand for it unless CONCACAF and CONMEBOL go all the way and combine); but even with CONCACAF sending guest teams, as long as the Gold Cup isn't held in the same year, this tournament would be an extravaganza for everyone involved (higher-level competition for us up north, more $$$ for Napout and co.).
