Thanks for everyone on this forum. There's a lot of great info here. My daughter has really enjoyed playing soccer and has gotten to be pretty good at the U10 level... but I'm really new to the sport. This forum has been very helpful to hear other's experiences and advice. Does anyone find the search on this forum doesn't really work well... I keep coming up with the same threads and some aren't really relevant. Just an idea / suggestion, my wife an I were planning a family trip to Disney and I was on a Disney Forum that we've been on before (search was bad before too) http://forums.wdwmagic.com . I saw they improved the search relevancy and my bad typing schools with some plugin http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threadloom/search Looks like Tesla (which I don't have. lol) and a bunch of other forums use them too http://www.threadloom.com/ just an idea. Any chance we could get this on this forum?
I'd love for Big Soccer to have faster and more relevant search. A lot of forums are using them like Disney, Baby Bargains, and Tesla. I've seen a lot of improvement. Here's also an article on the Admin Zone on one of the founders. I've been able to find things through google as well as our own search. Can you give me an example of something you'd search for?
Based on my experience on http://forums.wdwmagic.com/ search is way better with Threadloom compared with the old forum search. A few things I’ve liked: Spell suggestions like Google - it fixes my terrible typos, like Lional Messy -> Lionel Messi. http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threadloom/search?query=lional+messy If you type Lional Messy in Big Soccer search you get one bad result https://www.bigsoccer.com/search/3275180/?q=lional+messy&o=date The search result page is a lot better with results by forum, ability to sort, etc. They also have forum filters that are useful on big forums, and a bunch of advanced search stuff that the search here doesn't have.
