Basketball, Hockey, Football, Baseball has their own forum, why not Rugby?

I just seen Rugby Sevens last night and I fell in love with this amazing, exciting, beautiful game. I think it's only fair and just that Rugby has its own forum like hockey. This newly Rugby fan demand justice.

There are many Rugby threads in the forum and many users wanting to discuss it, we should have our own forum instead of posting out there with all the other sports.

For those that want a rugby forum, please reply to this thread. the more replies the better the chances of our voice being heard.

Rugby is the second-biggest international team sport and the second-fastest growing team sport in the U.S

as a fan of rubgy (and just like cricket), i think its own forum here would hinder not help discussion here at big soccer, theres just simply not enough interest to warrant its own forum.

if interested in rugby talk, try going over to bigfooty.com, they have various rubgy union, league and aussie footy forums. i presume the site is somehow related to bigsoccer.

A new forum called The English Gentleman's Sport's should be created. Me and my fellow Viscounts Lord, Barrons and other noble men would love a place to dicuss Rugby Union, Cricket, Polo and perhaps Chess.

    Thats a good Chap.

    yeah!

As a rugby player and supporter, a forum would not be much to ask for. We could keep the tables of the leagues, pridictions and news. I think a lot of people would like this.

Rugby definitely deserves its own forum and would do well. Haven't heard a good reason why not.

citing this thead, rugby, in any form, got only 5% of the vote. While that is a noted amount, it does not warrent a new forum. Even adding Mr. Magoo's suggestions, it is not worthy of a new forum.

    Thread moved.

    Hey, great.

Maybe next freakin time you can move it to the right forum; say "New Threads" instaed of "Suggestions"

When did Huss abandon the "Moderator Intelligence Test" anyway?

Please provide a link for this "New Threads" forum that you speak of.

I'm just playing with you of course. You're doing a wonderful job as this forum's moderator.

    Re: yeah!

Which you can do just fine in Other Sports as it is set up now. If there were indeed enough interest in rugby discussion to warrant a separate rugby forum, then you'd consistently see multiple threads about rugby on the first page. Alas, such is not the case.

What Bill's trying to say is that there's a subforum of this one where users can voice their opinions about new forums and that this thread would be best in that forum.

With that said, if rugby really deserved it's own forum, there'd be threads all over other sports about rugby. Since there's not, it could be assumed that there's very little interest in rugby. (What skipshady said.)

    Bhoysfc also mentioned bigfooty.

FWIW, i'm against a rugby forum. In fact, i'm more for combining forums, but that's another thread.

Hey look, I'm the last guy to complain about a little harmless name-calling, but come on:

Don't you think calling me a "moderator" is hitting a little below the belt?

Duh, yeah, see the got too many "New Thread" suggestions so they started a new forum called...are you ready...."New Forums"

It's kind of like starting a "I Love Wet Spam" thread in the England Forum - when you move it to the Wet Spam Forum, some mouthbreather (liek you, apparently) will say "Huh? "Wet Spam"? And this is not in England?

    Read your memos, Einstein

I almost never go to Other Sports anymore, IMO it's ruined by having to navigate those subforums. Put it back the way it was!

Thanks for the suggestion - don't think we have plans for that at this time.
