Sorry for hijacking your thread, but I have a bad pun. Watching the Whitecaps-Impact game (good win for you guys) I saw you have a player on your team named Calum Mallace. When he isn't on the pitch or, at least, on the bench, do people say "We have an absence of Mallace"?

He's had great games, including one where he sent a stellar ball to Cameron porter... Reo coker or Bernier could do his job.

Clearly though, we haven't seen as much success lately as we did with Di Vaio. He was a great strength for us up top with great hold up play and finishing.

I never really cared for him , especially since I he was always injured. I think at 31, he could do well in MLS though. At least he would be a lot younger than DiVaio, Nesta, Pirlo, Lampard and Gerrard and could last longer...

Agreed, hasn't he been capped a couple times tho? And wasn't he important to Fiore for awhile?

Well its been confirmed by saputo, the fire and us want drogba...

All respect to drogba and his career and accomplishments.. But I doubt he will be able to produce like di vaio did... Marco had love for the shirt.. He loved this city. It showed every time he was out on the pitch. I don't see that coming from didier. Our fans seem to wanna see him here but I'd say were better passing and waiting for something better at this point. We've waited long enough..

Did DiVaio retire because his production fell considerably or just because he wanted to work for Saputo and Tacopina's Bologna?

I know the guy is out in outer space, but maybe Saputo should try to make a play for Cassano?

Disappointing. Was hoping the club would have had a legitimate Plan B. After a 3-10-0 start, the team has gone a healthy 6-3-2, mainly because they're taking care of business in their own end. The next phase of improvement needs to be up front - I'm guessing now that will be the primary off-season focus. Not sure what to expect from the three players added yesterday. Btw, where do all the Impact fans hide online?

Quincy Amarikwa is a hard worker and shows glimpses of potential and occasional flashes of explosiveness but at 30 years of age and about 10 years in the league, he has scored a total of only 24 goals. He has been on 5 teams and two teams twice. That isn't a good statistic for any striker.

Funny thing by looking at this page and seeing the names in the last three years.

First it was Luca Toni, Alberto Aquillani, Marco DVaio, Didier Drogba, and Quincy!

Is there something wrong with this picture?
