I wish there was a way these two could both lose the final....as it is Argentina at 5/2 in 90 minutes seems like decent value...I think the Germans will find the Argies a much tougher nut defensively than the Brazilians were...

They'd probably find most under 12 girls teams a tougher defense to break down than Brazil.

I still can't get over the way DL headed the ball straight to the Dutch player instead of heading it behind for a corner... :(

If Argentina park 3 defensive midfielders in front of their back 4 ,like they did v Holland ,they will clearly be tougher to beat.

Plus their central defenders hold their position for the entire game ,unlike Luiz who thinks he is an attacking midfielder .

Noises coming out that Aguero and even di Maria, (for part of the match), will be available...

I'm slightly favouring ze Germans atm, (because of european connection as much as anything), but if there's any of this crap from the likes of Muller, that can evaporate very quickly indeed...

Tip: turn your sound off if you value your sanity.

Both teams have afew divers. I think Germany have to win it so its tougher for Blatter to slash the UEFA allocation of places ,like he wants to .

    fair point

I think the primary issue revolves around posters who only seem to stop by at major tournament time and try to cause unrest among the regulars.

The other problem is that the regulars have to be more patient with some opposing points of view as they are not always trolling and a view from another angle can be useful at times.

Yeah... that's a consideration as well. Soooo... it's on with the bratwurst and Pilsner then :)

Actually I've always rather liked sauerkraut with those German sausages, so... :D

To celebrate the new German appreciation on here, I've raided sinner's music collection and come up with these:

Let's be honest fellas... if we had to listen to that stuff all the time, we'd probably want to go and invade Poland as well, wouldn't we... :x3:

I think I've mentioned before when discussing national anthems that, IMO, everyone seems to have a nicer one than ours and this is one of my favourites.

Of course, Haydn was Austrian, not German but the krauts have always been a bit fuzzy about that whole area :D

So, it's on with the lederhosen and off we go, (until Muller dives like a big girls blouse then it's out with sauerkraut and in with the corned beef:)).

35 minutes until it kicks off! Put half of my winnings from yesterday on Germany..

I expect Germany to win, but you never know.

I am going to try to watch the whole game - if I can last out. I remembered the other day that I'm a quarter German but that hasn't helped give me a bit more interest. Still we don't want the Argies to win do we?

It's also not the English national anthem - it's the national anthem of the UK. We should really have something of our own for sporting events.

Kroos heads it straight to Higuain who fluffs the shot with only Neuer to beat.

Argentina having the 3 DM's screening their defence make chances very hard to come by..
If Higuain had put that chance away ,Germany would be in serious trouble.

more like 5 yards off side..

    Kramer comes off..
Losing Khedira before kickoff really damaged their intended system .

I see the Brazilians were casting around looking for scapegoats and someone said they were suffering from the fact a lot of their young kids left for Europe when they were kids.

You gotta say, it doesn't seemed to have hurt the argies much, does it.

Come to that it hasn't hurt ze germans either.
