WCQs For 2010: CONCACAF Hexagonal Predictions [R]

Out of the 73 people who predicted at least some of the Hexagonal, 41 of them predicted Matchday 7 which was yesterday. There weren't many exact scores. Everybody who predicted the matchday got at least 1 point. There was a total of 115 points which is 2.80 per person. I got 3 points which is my worst Hexagonal matchday so far (in terms of points, not relative to the average). Out of 41 predictions for two of the games and 40 predictions for USA:ES, CRC:MEX had 10 correct result predictions with 0 exact scores, HON:T&T had 37 correct result predictions with 1 exact score, and USA:ES had 37 correct result predictions with 3 exact scores scores. The exact score predictions were:

Rather than posting who made complete standings predictions before the round started when I post cumulative score prediction results, I may start indicating in parenthesis how many games the person has predicted that have been played so far (this would be 24 after Matchday 8 for people who made complete predictions).

Edit: After Matchday 8 I may post both the cumulative score predictions and the cumulative average prediction score per game where how many predictions you made is factored in. So far for the first eight matchdays combined there have been 992 scores predicted so if three or more additional people predict Matchday 8 that will bring the number above 1,000.

 

Matchday 8 yielded 115 prediction points, which is the same amount as Matchday 7 albeit with fewer predictions for Matchday 8. Matchday 8 had an average score of 3.03 per person who predicted it. I had my worst matchday with only 2 points, but my lead remains at 7 points because IASocFan had 2 points also. Congratulations to silverlion, who got 8 out of a possible 9 points (you would need all three exact scores to get 9 points). Silverlion joins benitoelwerito from Matchday 2 in a tie for the best Hexagonal matchday. A matchday score of 7 has been done 6 times. Here are the Mtachday 8 score prediction results:

I'll post the cumulative score predictions later, but for now I'll say that silverlion's great day moved him from 24th to tied for 13th through 16th. Tomwilhelm's bad day dropped him from a three way tie for 10th to a three way tie for 19th. Zacateca jumped up from a two way tie for 13th to a two way tie for 5th.
