This is an exciting time, I'm pumped to see Lopetegui drop some of the players who have been underperforming for awhile in the NT set up. I'd like to see him go with this XI and strangle the possession daylights out of Italy with this midfield. If more width is needed during the match, can switch back to 4-3-3 and sub out Isco + Thiago at different times for Nolito/Vitolo/Callejon.

    Costa
    Isco --- Silva --- Thiago --- Koke
    Busquets
    Alba --- Ramos --- Pique --- Dani
    De Gea

what a bizarre yellow card. I have only seen 10 minutes, this team reminds me of 2010. good possession but no teeth.

Immediately take out Costa before the 2nd yellow. You know that is coming.

Absolute dominance, except on the scoreboard.

That just means Italy will win it 1-0.

I missed the first 35 minutes. Did we have any real chances or just fluffy possession?

Pique had a couple of great chances but otherwise Italy has defended really deep and done it well.

Italy have come with more urgency since that goal. We are playing a bit nervous now

That was about as poor as I have ever seen Italy and we still can't beat them

For me, as brilliant as Iniesta has been for the NT, this is why we need to look in a new direction and bench him. We can still have the dominance of possession but score more goals with Koke and Thiago in there.

Pissed myself laughing at this. We often do it. Were troll everyone.

    Costa was onside
Should have got a second yellow
I think it was a pen

Our managers squad selection and tactics were poor but you guys destroyed us nonetheless. Enjoy topping the group because you won't let it slip from here.
