I'm talking about shots inside the box on target, which FIFA provides.

Also, I see you ignored Holland who had 10.

if you want to add the Croatia game you need to add this to the total.
that's 6 on target 4 off target for Brazil

I'll pull the minute off ESPN3 so you can re-watch it then.. because when I saw it for the first time it felt like it was a run.. when I watched it the second time with my wife... it was a completely switch of positioning and it made me wonder wtf they were doing.

If you are talking strictly on target shots (and not ones only inside the box), Holland has 10 in 1 game.

ok they don't have the Brazil replay up on the app, I'll look at it later on the PC.

Luiz made his run, Paulinho was the Center forward, Brazil lost possession and they recovered while Luiz was playing CB, David went into the right wing and played there for a bit all while Paulinho was still towards the center of the box. After that attack was done they switched back up.

People are overating the Dutch and Germany because of the amounts of goals they scored, if Brazil gets 3 last night we're not having this discussion.. they created enough to score 3 or more.. that's all i'm saying.

They faced better opponents. I'm actually not overhyping them of the score line because after all, Portugal was a man down and as you said, Casillas gave 2 gifts. Germany still controlled the game and were clinical. Holland peppered Spain's goal.

Brazil peppered Mexico's goal also.. Mexico is a better team that Portugal collectively, especially at the world cup... I didn't have portugal making it out of the group while I had Mexico coming out of the group.

Netherlands barely held on to the ball against Spain, it was all counter attacking football against a really slow Spaniard defense.. look at the end of the first half of that game, everyone thought Spain was coming back and scoring at will on the Dutch because their defense looked bad.. Van Persie scored at the 44th minute.

Spain had 6 shots on the first half to the Dutch only having 3... 1 on target (goal)
People talk about it as the Dutch dominated the WHOLE damn game!! they dominated a Spain team which had to come forward after getting the second goal scored on a bad defensive effort by Ramos and was tired as hell because they are old at the end.

That says it all. I generally like Paulinho but there is no margin for error. He has to be dropped, it will probably ruin his confidence but we are trying to win a tournament here.

I can only agree with the previous posters on Paulinho and that he needs to start on the bench. I can't understand how Felipao started him against Mexico after his poor game vs Croatia.

Hernanes offers much more creativity and is more of a threat with his shot, something we clearly lack. Hulk was poor the first game and it was crazy to start Ramires in the 2nd. Bernard deserves the chance to start IMO, as we need more creativity. It's too predictable when Neymar and Oscar are the only players who can actually dribble and run with the ball.

Felipão is being too careful so far and it's not working out.

Juninho didn't get benched until the England game. But yes, people saw it negatively at least as an immediate reaction.

    Can't agree that it's a overreaction.

We have been poor for 2 games now and it has been against teams who stand no chance of winning this WC.

Even with such a defensive lineup as Felipão puts out we have problems defensively which is also something to worry about.

getting scored twice by Costa Rica will get you thinking about knockout stage.
